Shot the Lahairo student duo of Lynae and Wuthering Waves Chisa in a white studio today. Lynae's outfit is packed with subtle nuances; getting fully suited up and styling the wig alone took over an hour. The wig featured custom shaping, weaving in braided accents and teal-green ombré tips, with the small skull clip on the side of the forehead being an adorable detail I particularly adore. To capture the character's easygoing yet rebellious flair, I wore the tie slightly loosened, which immediately added dimensional contrast against the black pleated skirt and leather belt. The headphones draped around the neck served as the soul accessory of the entire styling—whether holding one ear cup or letting them rest casually, they instantly leveled up camera interaction. On the lower half, pairing black calf socks (Stockings) with platform boots not only elongated leg proportions visually but also grounded the silhouette with visual weight, honoring the character's aesthetic seamlessly.

Before shooting, my partner and I coordinated our movement beats. Because this was a Lahairo student duo concept, we mapped out playful interactions and kinetic contrasts. The upside of a white cyclorama studio is perfectly balanced, even lighting free from outdoor weather variables; the catch is that it severely tests physical dynamism. Without expressive body language, frames can fall completely flat. During shooting, I continually recalibrated my center of gravity to create opposing lines between shoulders and hips—such as holding an ear cup close to my cheek with one hand while reaching forward with the other, paired with cheeky expressions to produce striking visual contours in the RAW captures.

Special thanks to photographer @Hajimi for patient guidance, constantly supervising framing composition and fine details. While RAW frames from a white studio boast fantastic texture, post-processing is a massive undertaking—the classic endless white-studio retouches. Without background clutter to obscure details, tiny garment wrinkles, stray hair strands, and skin texture are placed under a microscope. In post, I took care to preserve natural skin texture without aggressive skin smoothing, concentrating instead on balancing the light-to-shadow contrast so transitions between the white shirt and black skirt felt seamless. The violet tones in the eyes and teal-green in the hair received tasteful color enhancement to make the palette pop with vibrancy.

This photo set underwent multiple revision rounds; reviewing each draft felt like reliving the shoot day anew. From preparing costumes and props to dialing in studio strobes, every single step required endless calibration. Bringing the vision in my mind to life piece by piece made every ounce of effort completely worthwhile upon seeing the finished selects. I hope this visual presentation lets everyone feel the innate vitality of the character.
