Taking advantage of Valentine's Day, I organized this set of photos in a blue Maid outfit. In the pictures, I am wearing a light blue maid dress richly detailed with white lace trim and bows, paired with over-the-knee White stockings, complemented by fluffy cat ears and a tail—designed to match the cat-related Valentine's Day vibe. For shooting, I mainly relied on a stand behind me and a mirror in front for mirror selfies, testing various poses specifically to showcase leg silhouettes.

The composition of Photo 3 sitting on the white chair is quite ideal. Accented by the white over-the-knee socks, the leg lines look even more elongated, and the layered aesthetic of the skirt flares out beautifully. Avoiding the edges of the frame, the centered composition delivers a poised aesthetic. During shooting, I paid close attention to the angle of the light, ensuring the light blue fabric presented a soft sheen without making the White stockings appear washed out.

The white cat plushie in my arms was actually quite heavy and tiring to hold for long, but paired with the cat ears and tail, the overall 2D vibe really came to life. The cuffs of the dress are wide, requiring careful smoothing when seated to prevent messy creases; capturing cute hand gestures also took numerous adjustments. With light blue and white as the primary palette, the outfit feels fresh and perfectly suits the character's temperament. During mirror selfies, keeping an eye on the phone case and face positioning to obscure the face visually emphasizes the clothing details. This style of Maid outfit paired with White stockings is iconic in the 2D community and relatively manageable for everyday shooting.

Regarding the Valentine's Day theme, since the concept involves two cats, I considered how to integrate cat motifs. Beyond the cat ears on my head and the long tail behind, the white cat plushie in my arms nicely echoed this idea. The light blue dress doesn't easily create harsh glares on camera, which was essential. During mirror selfies, ensuring proportion alignment between reality and reflection avoids distortion that could widen legs or warp clothing lines. Sitting on the chair, keeping the torso upright was necessary to properly present the waistline of the Maid outfit.

Photography is truly a delicate craft where light positioning determines the sheer texture of White stockings and fabric quality. I mainly utilized a side-front fill light, making the blue-and-white dress look softer while avoiding blown-out harsh whites. In terms of framing, keeping the subject centered toward the lower half elongates leg proportions and prevents empty headspace at the top. For Rem, the Maid outfit is signature, so I dedicated attention to fabric folds, letting the lace sleeves drape naturally.

Post-processing was kept minimal, mainly softening the light to lend a natural, dreamy touch. As Valentine's Day is romantic, avoiding complex backgrounds helped the subject stand out. I am extremely pleased with the tailoring of this blue-and-white Maid outfit, especially the drape and texture of the sleeves. It fits snugly and swishes gracefully when walking. In static mirror selfies, finding poses to accentuate the dress—such as turning slightly and lifting one arm—lengthens the visual proportion and flatters both skirt and leg lines.

The cat tail takes up space, requiring proper placement when sitting so it doesn't look awkward; sitting slightly sideways let the tail rest naturally behind me. These subtle details greatly impact the final photos. Combining White stockings and a Maid outfit seems simple, yet achieving ideal results requires continuous angle and lighting adjustments. Overall, I am very satisfied with how these photos turned out.
