This time, I mainly want to share this Rem cosplay photo set in her Angel styling from Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-. Before the shoot, I prepared a white dress with abundant lace trimming and ruffles, paired with physical angel wings and a floating halo prop. For the wig, I chose bright blue short hair, trimmed the bangs, and styled it with hairspray into the right shape, accompanied by white feather hair accessories. For makeup, the focus was placed on peachy-pink eyeshadow and elongated eyeliner, with pink lipstick on the lips.

For the scene setup, a blue-and-white striped sofa was selected, with paintings, a teddy bear plush, and a wooden deer placed beside it to create a fairy-tale ambiance. A wide-angle lens was used during the shoot to elongate the legs. The material of the long white tights reflects light under the lamps, so we adjusted the lighting positions, utilizing a floor lamp on the left and a front reflector to control the lighting ratio, giving the white tights a much better texture. To make the leg lines more appealing, the seated pose required a relaxed sense of extension with toes pointed. The white skirt can easily look bulky, so waist folds were deliberately adjusted during shooting to make the waistline look slimmer.

The bracket for the angel wings was hidden behind my back, and holding the teddy bear conveniently concealed it to prevent wardrobe mishaps. The halo was supported by a thin transparent rod, with no visible support points from the front. The whole process involved multiple pose adjustments and took two to three hours. The difficulty of this outfit lay in capturing the layers of white, especially the contrast between the White tights cosplay and the skirt hem. Although the preparation was somewhat fussy—such as trimming the wig and securing the wings—the final photos turned out very clean, perfectly capturing the essence of Rem's angel form. This styling focused heavily on proportional balance; combining white-toned clothing with wide-angle perspective brought the proportions closer to the character design in Anime cosplay.

Since the blue hair color is quite eye-catching, styling required careful attention to avoid harsh edges. The halo atop the head was custom-made, requiring careful center-of-gravity balance once fixed to keep it from tilting. The colorful beaded garland and the fabric pouch on the wall were specially chosen to enhance the vintage, cozy indoor feel. When sitting on the sofa in this outfit, I had to constantly make sure the white tights didn't form deep creases at the knees from bending my legs, which are cumbersome to fix in post-processing, so trying multiple poses during the shoot was necessary. The lower the camera angle, the longer the legs appear, but distortion happens easily, so the tilt angle of the body and placement of the feet had to coordinate, using pointed toes to balance the wide-angle stretch. Compared to regular character shoots, this session involved considerably more upfront communication regarding props and lighting. For example, the bright floor lamp on the left provided excellent rim light, outlining the edges of the wings. The overall white-and-blue palette is visually very refreshing, but required precise exposure control throughout the shoot. Fortunately, the texture and layering of the final photos met all expectations, filled with heartfelt details. My condition on the day of the shoot was well-tuned, making the entire finished set a very satisfying record of this creative attempt.
