[Tendou Arisu cosplay] Pure White Summer of Blue Archive: Sony A7M5 Freezes the Beautiful Moments

This time, equipped with a Sony A7M5 and a 50mm F1.2 GM lens, I completed this Blue Archive Tendou Arisu cosplay outdoor photoshoot in an early summer garden.

The shooting location happened to feature a vibrant flower bed where yellow and purple blossoms were interspersed among green leaves. Paired with distant brick-red buildings and pink latticed railings, the backdrop established a bright and fresh visual tone. Because it was an outdoor shoot using a large-aperture prime lens, the background bokeh separated the subject beautifully from the cluttered surroundings. With abundant natural sunlight, Sony's straight-out-of-camera colors are inherently bright and vivid, achieving a clean and translucent look with almost no heavy post-processing required.

Regarding the styling, the costume chosen was a pure white off-the-shoulder ruffled dress; its lightweight fabric proved ideal for breezy outdoor activities. The headpiece consisted of a light-blue geometric frame adorned with a white bow. For the hair, I selected a dark blue-to-black gradient wig styled with long flowing hair and a high ponytail, accented by a black choker to add a touch of refinement. For props, I brought a transparent crossbody tote filled with a white bird plush toy and an iced drink prop decorated with cream and jam. The classic pairing of white lace socks and black thick-heeled Mary Jane leather shoes complemented the overall fresh, youthful Anime cosplay charm.

During dynamic pose captures, there were casual shots sitting on a white metal folding chair, compositions sitting on the pink railing with legs crossed, and a final pose holding the bird plush toy in one hand. Switching between these dynamic and static movements truly tested autofocus performance. Fortunately, the Sony A7M5's AI autofocus system tracked eyes with remarkable reliability—even when tossing and catching props or swaying on one foot, the focus remained locked onto the eyes, ensuring clean, crisp images.

Many worry about overexposure under bright outdoor sunlight, but thanks to the rich tonal gradation of the 50mm F1.2 GM, high-key areas remained well-controlled without clipping. The white dress retained rich fold details, while skin tones were restored with natural, radiant clarity. In soft-lit shaded areas, the camera's dynamic range preserved shadow details beneath the trees flawlessly. Even the color transitions of the flower bushes behind delivered a bright, immersive presence characteristic of Sony color science.

This Outdoor portrait photography session felt incredibly comfortable. Free from studio constraints, the shifting natural light added plenty of joy to the process. The transparent prop bag with the plushie inside, along with the ice cream prop in hand, lent a rich narrative feel to the scene—like enjoying afternoon tea in a quiet garden with a favorite toy on a peaceful afternoon, allowing me to relax completely into the environment. Ultimately, this photo set presents a pure, clean, and sweet summer atmosphere.
