Shooting such an expansive gown on-site at a convention is truly a tug-of-war between stamina and technique. Not only did I have to navigate crowds to avoid photobombing passersby, but I also had to constantly ensure the faux-fur shawl behind me wouldn't slip off. The attendees on site were very enthusiastic; especially when striking specific expressions and poses, you could distinctly hear the shutter clicks around you multiplying. This brownish-grey long hair with cyan-blue bang highlights was quite technically demanding to style; before heading out, I meticulously adjusted the flow of the bangs and hair strands to ensure the character's charm was fully captured before the lens.
As a heavy cruiser, Cheshire has always oscillated between dignified majesty and playful cuteness. During this on-site shoot, I constantly tried to channel that sense of Royal Navy haughtiness in my gaze and posture without coming across as overly rigid. This photo set truly captures the texture of the costume from diverse angles—from close-up bust shots highlighting the intricate lace brim of the hat to full-body compositions where the high slit and White thigh-highs outfit paired with black heels create elongated lines. It made carving out a clean pocket of space amid the convention crowd completely worth the effort.
