[Blanc Cosplay] Black and White Bunny Duo from Goddess of Victory: Game Time in the Bar and Casino

This shoot with Luo Buxia serves as our take on bringing Blanc and Noir, the iconic duo from Goddess of Victory, to life. The black and white bunny pairing creates a powerful visual tension through color contrast. I portrayed Blanc the white bunny, while Luo Buxia played Noir the black bunny.

We chose a retro-style bar and casino gaming table area as our location. The wooden bar counter, combined with the warm backlighting of the liquor cabinet, set a retro tone for the entire photoset. Although the weather wasn't particularly hot during the shoot, keeping the glossy bodysuits pristine was a challenge. Moreover, since the wooden structures of the bar and gaming table could easily snag fabrics, Luo Buxia and I were extremely careful when adjusting our poses to avoid unsightly creases or scuffs.

The materials of both costumes are very unique. The black bunny's glossy black fabric gives off a strong sheen under the lights, while the white bunny's white bodysuit is softer, perfectly recreating the character's uniform feel when paired with the bow tie and cuff details. The fishnet stockings are the finishing touch of the whole outfit. Black fishnets provide a sharp, bold edge, while white fishnets require a more refined presentation. To capture Blanc's cool yet slightly tsundere demeanor, I kept my poses relaxed and elongated. Even when kneeling or sitting on the bar counter, I had to pay close attention to my leg lines and the stretch of the fishnets, which took a lot of effort during the session.

Our photographer, Zhimeng, mastered the lighting perfectly. The warm orange glow behind the liquor cabinet created beautiful rim lighting behind us, outlining the stray hairs and bunny ears of both bunny girls while keeping facial shadows from becoming too heavy. In the bar counter shot, sitting on the high bar stool created a nice high-low compositional contrast between the white and black bunnies. At the casino table, we switched to sitting opposite each other to emphasize the interaction between the characters.

This kind of duo collaboration tests chemistry the most. The black bunny's style perfectly complements my white persona, like two sides of a complete puzzle. We didn't set up any overly complex plot on set; instead, we focused on capturing the characters' essence through expressions and postures. Tilting our heads toward the camera or playing with a glass in hand helped keep the shots lively rather than rigid. Although shooting in these black and white outfits with matching fishnets and heels was physically exhausting, the final results turned out remarkably high-quality.

I particularly love the frozen moments captured throughout the photoset. Whether it's the casual sitting poses in the bar area or the eye contact across the casino table, there is a hint of mystery and allure. The character designs are classic—Blanc's silver-white wig contrasts sharply with Noir's long brown hair. This color palette looks distinctly dimensional under ambient light. During post-processing, we avoided over-the-top edits and focused on minor color saturation adjustments, preserving the natural shine of the glossy materials and the authentic texture of the hosiery. For someone like me who loves trying different cosplay styles, this black-and-white bunny duo collaboration was a fantastic experience, giving me more insight into portraying visually impactful characters.
