[GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE Cinderella cosplay] Mechanical Elegance Under a Pure White Latex Suit - Image 2

Shooting this Cinderella piece from Goddess of Victory was a decision made in a heartbeat. The material of this outfit can be described as both the biggest challenge and the biggest highlight of this shoot. The highly reflective white suit made this Latex cosplay exceptionally demanding on the on-site lighting; even a slight deviation in angle would cause flat white or dim contrasts on the surface, or even unfixable strange shadows at the joint bends. To recreate that technological yet incredibly pure white texture of the 2D character from the game as much as possible, the photographer and I repeatedly adjusted the light positions and tried three different main lighting schemes, finally finding this cool-toned light source to display the highlights and shadow layers of the outfit. The wig also took a long time to process. To maintain the volume and natural, flowing lines of the twin tails, I padded the inside with a lot of hair strands and styling wires. It snapped once midway through, forcing a frantic last-minute remake, but fortunately, the final visual effect was ideal. I think the red contacts are the soul of the entire look, injecting a sharp and cold aura into the pure white base, which fits perfectly with the character's mechanical setting. The discard rate for this shoot was actually quite high because the clothing is extremely form-fitting, leaving absolutely no extra space to conceal the figure, which demanded exceptionally precise control over my posture. Throughout the shoot, I needed to brace my core to maintain an upright posture while deliberately relaxing the lines of my shoulders and arms to present an elegant yet non-stiff feeling in front of the lens. For makeup, I intentionally chose a clean, crisp base, avoiding heavy eyeshadow that might break the balance of the overall pure white palette, and picked a very natural lip color. Paired with the cool white-toned light, the atmosphere was perfectly conveyed. A lot of effort went into the prop details, makeup, hair, and lighting for this set of photos. The tailoring seams and small buckle details on the outfit were also handled beautifully. I hope the final photos can present the detachment and elegance that belong to her.
