This time, I successfully completed the Cosplay photo sharing shoot for Azur Lane Albion cosplay at the Chengdu World Line Anime Exhibition, and now I've organized some of the live photos to share with everyone.
When preparing this look, the costume details required the most thought. The predominantly white base features a patchwork of lace and semi-sheer tulle, allowing light to transmit beautifully during shooting. The neckline is designed as a modified Qipao-style high collar, adorned with golden tassels and an emerald-accented choker, while 3D pink floral embroidery embellishes the chest—all delicate components that look richly textured on camera. I spent quite a while choosing the pale ice-blue wig; its subtle elegance forms an exceptionally soft warm-cool contrast with the pure white attire. The elf ear props fit snugly, which, paired with the butterfly-wing hair ornament on one side, instantly brought out the fantasy charm.
The props serve as one of the souls of this look: the butterfly-shaped round fan in hand features delicate, elegant floral and butterfly paintings across the surface, with long pink tassels dangling from the handle. Beyond using the fan, we designed several interactive moments holding tiny butterfly props between the fingertips to add dynamic charm to the composition. The skirt features a high slit, paired with lace-trimmed garter stockings in a White thigh-highs outfit and white shallow pumps; this design beautifully showcases leg contours in seated poses, keeping the overall style elegant without feeling overly rigid.
The atmosphere at the Chengdu World Line Anime Exhibition has always been bustling, but we deliberately avoided peak traffic hours and found a minimalist outdoor grey wall as our backdrop. Lighting on-site was varied; this set utilized soft natural diffused light to give the pure white fabrics and lace a rich dimensional depth. Navigating crowds in this dress was quite a challenge, especially since it picks up dust easily, requiring deliberate grace in every movement. Yet this process brought me closer to the light, poised gait characteristic of Albion in Azur Lane.
The photographer was very creative with composition, deftly capturing the cutouts, embroidery, and butterfly prop interactions across various half-body and seated angles. In the seated shots particularly, the posture of supporting myself while looking back and presenting props achieved a visual synergy of youthful freshness and ethereal grace. As a Cosplay photo sharing record from a convention, being able to faithfully present the character's attire, expressions, and textile textures from multiple angles is truly gratifying. I hope these photos allow everyone to intuitively feel the beauty of this white lace Albion cosplay styling.
