[Cheshire Cosplay] The Bride of Azur Lane: Sincerity in a Blue-and-White Fairytale

When I changed into this Azur Lane Cheshire bridal outfit, I was actually quite nervous. The costume had so many intricate details—from the high lace collar and tiered off-the-shoulder design to the veil and tiara—every single piece required repeated adjustments before shooting. We waited quite a while that day, not due to delays in shooting itself, but because the set dressing was so meticulous. The blue-and-white floral clusters and European crystal chandeliers truly created a dreamy wedding atmosphere under the soft lighting.

During makeup, I intentionally kept the eye makeup very clean, wearing only cyan-blue contact lenses to match the hair gradient at the ends so it wouldn't look cluttered on camera. The most laborious part was the massive bouquet; the mint-green tulle wrapped around it had to be shaped into a natural, fluffy volume without overpowering the overall silhouette. Standing beside the white carved railing in my pearl-embellished open-toe heels, I felt enveloped in airy tulle.

When shooting the seated pose, I was actually figuring out how to coordinate my leg positioning with the lace hem of the skirt. Because of the visual contrast between the short bridal dress and the long sleeves, the upper and lower proportions could easily look unbalanced if posed incorrectly. The photographer was very patient, having me try various actions like holding the bouquet, looking up, and gently touching the veil. When the light hit, the white lace across my chest overlapped with the shadows, perfectly recreating that semi-sheer texture of the original character design.

What attracted me most about this cosplay was the color palette: grayish-black fading into cyan-green hair, paired with a predominantly white wedding dress and accented with teal-blue highlights, making the overall tone very harmonious. The warm glow from the crystal chandeliers in the scene added a touch of warmth to the otherwise cool-toned imagery. Although the shooting process was exhausting—constantly adjusting the veil to prevent it from slipping and covering my eyes—seeing that clean yet playful feeling in the final photos made all the waiting worthwhile.

Actually, I chose this look because the bridal theme holds a special place in Azur Lane, and Cheshire herself has such a cute personality that wearing a wedding dress creates a delightful contrast charm. This time, I tried to blend that playful liveliness with a sense of sacred purity, and with the photographer's help, we achieved the desired effect. The set was filled with abundant blue-and-white blooms, almost covering the entire frame, giving the entire shoot an incredible ambiance even without heavy post-processing.

The long lace sleeves of this outfit create a nice contrast with the short skirt hem, elongating the silhouette when turning slightly sideways. Furthermore, the small rhinestones on the tiara sparkled brightly under the light, saving the trouble of adding extra highlights later. My personal favorite when selecting photos was the second shot sitting on the stairs, as it perfectly highlighted the leg lines and shoe details with a comfortable composition.
