The costume selected for this shoot was Elysia's highly recognizable iconic look from Honkai Impact 3rd, with the backdrop core directly echoing the theme of "the divine realm." This styling features many complex splicing elements in its design. For example, the upper white vest is a cropped, waist-cinching cut, featuring a blue-purple flower-shaped neck ornament on the chest that visually serves to bridge the top and bottom. The outer dark long coat adopts detached sleeve covers and shoulder armor designs, while the gloves are dark leather, giving an overall visual contrast balancing elegance and combat practicality that perfectly fits the character's temperament in a specific setting.
The lower body coordination is also a key highlight of this look, pairing dark shorts with tight over-the-knee long stockings as part of a Stocking outfit, featuring wrapping black straps at the sock cuffs, along with pointed high-heeled ankle boots, visually elongating leg proportions nicely. When shooting this set of photos, to maximize character pose recreation, the curve of the seated posture was adjusted multiple times to ensure the details of the stockings and straps weren't obscured by the shorts while allowing leg lines to extend naturally.
The set construction used a large number of light-colored rose clusters. The white flowerpot at the bottom left, the staggered plants and flowers in the back, along with a metallic ornamental birdcage, jointly formed the base of this real-life Sea of flowers backdrop set. Large silver glossy satin fabrics were laid across the platform, illuminated from above by an ambient light with a purple-pink color bias. Lighting of this specific color temperature projected onto plush and glossy materials formed a very distinct shadow line, seamlessly integrating the subject with background elements while the light source outlined the three-dimensional contours of the character's facial features.
The weapon prop used this time was also a major highlight, shaped as a non-standard weapon with serrated edges and an alien structure, whose pink-purple painted details echoed the ambient light of the environment. During shooting, I needed to grip it with one hand to maintain balance, fine-tuning the holding angle at the weapon handle to avoid obscuring outfit details. To ensure the weapon's center of gravity remained stable, its placement on the satin fabric was carefully checked to prevent slipping or accidents.
To present the concept of "flawless," the hair and makeup leaned toward a translucent and natural texture, avoiding heavy, exaggerated makeup in favor of highlight contouring paired with specific lighting angles for this Anime cosplay shoot. The light-colored hair strands of the wig showed a slight color shift under the purple light, so extra care was taken regarding hair fluffiness during shooting. The entire process went smoothly, focusing on interacting with the set and utilizing the silhouette of the outfit and the structural nature of the prop to complete the composition of every frame.
