Today at the World Line Anime Convention venue, I met everyone in the look of Firefly from Honkai: Star Rail. This makeup and styling actually underwent quite a lot of polishing on details from the initial preparation to the final execution. Since I decided to do this character, the early costume customization, wig trimming, and prop preparation consumed a massive amount of time, just hoping to present the best effect on the convention day.

First is the wig. To make this silver-white long hair with mint green highlights and a fluffy airy feel actually tests trimming techniques heavily. To let the bangs naturally cover the eyes without looking messy, I intentionally adjusted the direction of the hair strands and used a curling iron to give it a bit of curvature, making the entire wig fit the head shape better. The mint green highlight is not that high-saturation green, but rather selects a relatively cool color palette, so it will have a wonderful gloss transition under the light.

In terms of makeup, the choice leaned toward translucent and lightweight. The base makeup emphasized texture, focusing on the cleanliness of the base makeup, and then used light purple colored contacts to echo the character's cool yet deep gaze. The mint green tiny embellishments under the eyes were stuck on one by one using tweezers to pick up sequins. This process required extreme meticulousness, not to be exaggerated, but to add a dreamlike and lightweight sense of detail.

The lace of the neck accessory, the metal pendant in the middle, as well as the tulle ruffles and flower clusters on the clothing, each layer needed careful matching. The texture of this costume is actually quite light and flowing; many places used translucent tulle and embroidery, but the structure is very complex. Many connection points required brooches and snap buttons to secure, and when wearing it on my body, I also had to constantly pay attention to avoid snagging against surrounding items.

The floral decoration on top of the head is also the soul of the entire look—the white silk flowers, the cyan-green leaves, and the draped pearls were all secured manually bit by bit. This kind of heavy headpiece actually heavily tests the head's weight-bearing capacity. Therefore, when wandering around the comic con, I would always pay attention to maintaining the balance of my head.

The lighting on the convention day was sometimes hard to control. Under different halls and backdrops, the light would drastically alter the presentation of colors. Fortunately, the wig and costume this time had excellent reflection performance under both natural light and stage lighting. This live real-shoot texture is often a bit more vivid and authentic than studio shoots.

Arriving at the convention venue and meeting many fellow fans, the feeling of taking photos together was truly amazing. People frequently asked me about the clothing materials and makeup coordination, and I was also happy to share some insights, exchanging views on the character with every friend I took photos with. As a cosplay lover who has played for many years, doing characters I like and interacting with everyone at conventions and offline brings a happiness that photos can hardly fully transmit. Every angle of the hair strands, every detail of the makeup, is born to replicate the character.

Of course, running around for a whole day in a hot exhibition hall wearing thick and magnificent clothing is indeed a massive test of stamina. Needing to check from time to time if the bangs are messy, if the sequins under the eyes have fallen off, if the clothing ruffles have been creased, while also squeezing out the best mental state to face the camera, is actually quite exhausting. However, seeing the convention photos returned by everyone and the passionate, happy atmosphere on site, this fatigue is nothing.

Sharing these contents today is mainly to record my authentic feelings and preparation process when doing this character. Different styles of cosplay have different points of emphasis. Today's look makes me feel that every bit of investment was well worth it, and I hope these shares can find resonance with friends who have the same interest.
