[Cheshire Cosplay] Azur Lane Oath Wedding Dress: Blue-and-White Catgirl Big Victory!

This shoot features Cheshire's Oath look from Azur Lane, taking a white-and-blue wedding dress route overall. Paired with her signature cat-ear hairpiece, it carries a touch of magnificence alongside pure cuteness. Honestly, doing cosplay for this kind of wedding dress styling tests costume tailoring and detail handling most of all, so photographer Mubai-teacher and I specifically picked an indoor venue with soft, transparent light, hoping to capture the garments' rich texture through Anime-style photography.

Let's start with the face and hairstyle. This time I used a taupe slightly-wavy short wig with a distinct teal highlight streak in the bangs. The blue contact lenses matched the hair color and the blue sapphires on the costume perfectly. The oversized white lace cat ears on top are actually fitted with a tiara; this setup sways easily when walking through conventions, so securing it took quite some time, though the final stability was solid. The facial makeup is relatively translucent, focusing on sculpting eye contours with coral lip tone to maintain a fresh texture overall.

Costume construction was the highlight this time. The white lace top features extensive cutouts that create layered depth while beautifully accentuating upper body contours. The outer sheer veil connects to a white lace collar adorned with a navy blue gemstone pendant in the center, elevating the overall delicacy. White detachable long sleeves are secured to upper arms with straps and small bow accents, appearing visually elegant. The skirt is a multi-layer lace spliced mini-skirt that sways airy with every step. What surprised me most were the white bows and navy blue metallic butterfly accessories decorating the hem—these details shine with fantastic texture under studio lighting.

I brought two props to help with shot composition: a semi-transparent lace folding fan and a bouquet. In Photo 1, partially concealing my face with the fan conveys a touch of playfulness and mystery. Photo 2 shows me holding the bouquet with both hands—the white roses and blue baby's breath inside perfectly match the color palette of my look. Photo 3 captures a side-profile posture with hand resting on cheek, displaying arm lines and waist cutout designs nicely while naturally bringing leg proportions beneath the hem into frame.

Communication with the photographer was also vital. Mubai-teacher excels at capturing natural motion. Because Oath styling emphasizes gentleness and purity, exaggerated expressions or poses weren't needed—just maintaining a stable posture and projecting gaze and mood into the lens. In post-processing, we emphasized brightness and softness, filtering out distracting tints while preserving lace pattern details and hair texture, creating a wonderful fairy-tale wedding aura in our Anime-style photography.

Although wedding dress styling prep and costume care are cumbersome, and lace/tulle materials restrict large movements, seeing the airy transparency presented in the final Convention photo set makes every effort worth it.
