This maid outfit for Cheshire really hits all the right spots for me from design to details. The black-and-white color-blocking combined with her iconic gray-blue hair tips, alongside the cat ear headband and neck accessory, makes the entire look carry the well-behaved nature of a maid while preserving the character's unique agile feel. What specifically stands out is this sailor collar design, which is completely different from a regular apron maid outfit. The large area of white lace trim paired with a black satin ribbon creates incredibly rich layering, looking exceptionally lightweight when worn.

This shoot features anime convention photos from the Firefly ACG Expo Dongguan stop. Huge thanks to the photographer, Ah Shan, who managed to capture a clean and translucent texture despite the complex lighting environment of the exhibition hall. During the shoot portion at the venue, we specially chose a white iron bench and light blue flowers as the backdrop, forming a great echo with the black-and-white tones of the costume, bringing out the overall atmosphere instantly.

I have always loved Cheshire's personality, so during the shoot, I intentionally sought a feeling in my gaze and posture that was both gentle and carried a touch of playfulness. I really like the composition of the first sitting pose—leaning forward slightly with both hands playing with the satin ribbon at the neckline, perfectly showcasing the tailoring of the maid outfit and the ID badge details on the chest. The few shots standing by the bench are more about showcasing the fluffiness of the skirt hem and the lace trim of the stockings on the legs. The pairing of Mary Janes and black ribbons is also the crowning touch of the entire look.

The materials for this costume were chosen quite thoughtfully; the outer black fabric has a subtle sheen, while the white part is soft, breathable cotton. Along with the heavy use of ruffles and pleats, it creates a wonderful dynamic effect when moving. Even though the exhibition hall was bustling with people passing by, this set of photos still fully preserved the exquisite detail of the costume.

As a coser who loves studying costume details, I put some thought into everything from trimming the wig to securing the accessories this time, and I am quite satisfied with the final photos. I hope to have opportunities to shoot Cheshire in more diverse settings in the future, like seaside sunshine or dusk lighting, which should spark completely different styles. The experience at the Dongguan Firefly ACG Expo this time was wonderful, and I'm also grateful to the friends on-site who helped arrange the skirt hem, making the shooting process go much smoother.
