[Goldenglow cosplay] Beside the Crystal-Clear Pool Under the Sun

The theme of this shoot is summer water play, held beside a sunlit indoor pool. I chose the character Goldenglow because her pink twin tails and swimsuit look perfectly capture the refreshing summer vibe.

Let's start with the outfit details: this summer floral swimsuit has a strong design sense. The top is a red, black, and white swimsuit covered by a semi-sheer white lace blouse; this breathable fabric creates fantastic light-and-shadow effects under backlighting. The bottom is paired with denim shorts featuring delicate lace trim on the hems, along with a white lace anklet on the ankle and a black decorative wristband. The small yellow flower on the straw hat and the pink goggles make the whole look playful and adorable. Sitting barefoot on the edge of the blue-and-white tiled pool perfectly captures the feeling of summer water play.

The shooting process was actually more complex than imagined. To make the ripples on the water surface look natural, the toe-dipping motion was repeated many times, as the shape of the water waves varied with each touch's angle and pressure. The photographer lay on the sand continuously seeking the best low-angle perspective; because backlit shooting easily causes lens flare, we adjusted the lighting angles multiple times. To achieve that crystal-clear soft-light effect, the reflector's position was adjusted several times. The pool water was a bit chilly, and touching the surface with the top of my foot sent a noticeable chill, but to maintain an elegant pose, I had to patiently hold still.

The whole shoot was relaxing and had a great atmosphere, as if truly immersed in a summer vacation. I really like this casual style of photography sharing, where it's not overly posed, but seamlessly blends the person with the setting. As sunlight poured through the window onto the sand, the sandy texture combined with the water reflections gave the photos a lively, breathing feel. Although summer shoots can get stuffy with the semi-sheer blouse and swimsuit exposing skin to the air, seeing the refreshing brightness radiating from the finished photos made all the effort worthwhile. This set of photos records the cool moments of summer and gave me fresh insights into summer character cosplay, which I'm glad to share with everyone.
