[Skadi the Corrupting Heart cosplay] Arknights: Song of Red and White Beneath the Distant Sea

The crucial work in shooting this set actually lay in adjusting the floor's reflective material and balancing the red-and-black dominant color ratio. The photographer laid down a large reflective film in the studio, paired with white gauze curtains draping behind and Roman pillars all around, creating a scene steeped in temple ambiance and deep-sea tension. The costume dress was exceptionally heavy—a black-and-red outer robe over white gauze lining, accompanied by weighty golden waist accessories and headpieces. Adding the barbed spear prop, the overall weight of the gear was a serious test of physical stamina. Raising the spear in standing poses required continuous arm exertion, while for reclining and seated poses, the massive skirt hem spread across nearly two square meters on the ground; we had to ensure the hem flowed smoothly while keeping the focus on the face and eyes crystal clear. Because there were many candles and red ambient lights in frame, to match the character's temperament, we carefully blended the eye makeup and hair coloring; the silver-white wig with red gradient highlights looked stunning under strong lighting. The photographer emphasized two key lighting points: first, the rim light from behind to lift and define the ruffled edges of the skirt; second, the floor reflections, intertwining cool and warm lighting to evoke the sensation of water reflections. Only when seeing the finished photos did I feel the quote, 'Well then, please listen to this song of the distant sea,' finally had a tangible visual form. The seated pose in Photo 6 is one of my personal favorites, showcasing the neckline details and leg lines of this outfit wonderfully, with lighting focused on the face and the overall atmospheric ambiance balanced just right. The shooting process was actually quite arduous—just shifting positions repeatedly on the floor took a long time, all while making sure the hem wasn't torn by the props. But being able to do my utmost to bring out the texture of this character made all the effort completely worthwhile.
