[Surtr cosplay] Arknights Convention Attendance: A Summer Collision of Red, Black, and White

It has been two weeks since the Arknights convention wrapped up, and taking advantage of some free time, I finally organized and posted the photos taken that day. This time, I prepared three character outfits at once: Surtr cosplay, Lappland cosplay, and Amiya cosplay. Although the preparation was quite intricate, the shooting atmosphere on set was fantastic, making for a truly enjoyable convention experience.

First, let's talk about the red-haired Surtr. The biggest highlight of this outfit lies in the horn headpieces and leather strap details. To emphasize the character's cool detachment and sharp silhouette, the photographer specifically adjusted the spotlights and found an area with a white plush rug inside the hall. During the shoot, I sat directly on the rug or crouched sideways, which better showcased the outfit's exposed skin and leg lines. The dark brown leather top and striking red hair stood out vividly against the dark background, with the sheen enhancing the overall texture significantly. For half-body shots, the leather straps framed the silhouette nicely, and paired with the silver metal buckles, created a strong visual impact.

Next was the photoshoot for the white-haired character, Lappland cosplay. This character's costume leans toward a sharp and handsome style, especially the shorts on the lower body and the black tattoo on the leg, which revealed exquisite details under bright light. The massive silver weapon prop posed quite a challenge; due to its semi-circular arc shape, an improper angle would easily block my face or make me look bulky, so we experimented with various compositions. The final selected photos—whether standing with the sword or sitting while looking straight into the lens—powerfully conveyed the weapon's grandeur and flattering body proportions. The jacket fabric has a leather-like sheen that gave off a cool glow under the spotlights, complementing the greatsword perfectly.

Finally, the blue-clad bunny character, Amiya cosplay. Amiya's outfit features a cute blue-and-white color palette: a blue checkered dress paired with a white lace apron, long bunny ears, and blue hair, looking exceptionally vibrant at first glance. The giant milk candy plush pillow in hand was also an on-site prop, which could playfully conceal parts of the face while boosting cuteness. During the shoot, I tried glancing over my shoulder while posing with the pillow; the contact lenses and eye makeup were refined meticulously, making the eyes sparkle.

Honestly, cosplaying multiple characters at a convention is quite exhausting, especially having to switch outfits, change wigs, and redo makeup under tight time constraints. But collaborating with everyone to find camera angles and adjust poses was a lot of fun. Furthermore, the photographer's use of wide-angle lenses was stellar—not only elongating leg lines, but also making the bustling convention background look like a studio shoot. Adding the Pepe pass gifted by Amiya, I hung it on my camera as a wonderful keepsake. Looking at these convention photos now, all the day's exhaustion feels completely worthwhile. I love the feeling of recording every moment and look forward to the next convention outing.
