For this Kasugano Sora cosplay look, right from picking out the outfit, I wanted to capture a particularly translucent and clean visual feel.

Choosing this white dress actually took some thought. The thin spaghetti strap design combined with semi-transparent tulle fabric makes it look remarkably airy without feeling heavy at all. The black bows on the chest and shoulder straps serve as crucial accents—they balance the monotony of pure white, adding a bit of classic black-and-white contrast. This allows the character's inherent fragility, innocence, and touch of cool detachment to be conveyed through the outfit right to the lens.

Regarding hair and makeup, the long, straight, pale blonde hair features classic straight bangs paired with twin tails, with the ahoge on top styled into a 3D curve. The black bow hair ties on both sides had to be tied securely without looking rigid, so that as I turned my head or angled my body, the dynamic motion of hair strands and accessories could be captured by the camera. For the makeup, I intentionally shortened the distance between brows and eyes, applied faint blush, and opted for slightly red lips with an overall matte texture to suit Sora's otherworldly, ethereal, yet profoundly endearing face.

The backdrop for this photo studio shoot was a pure white space. Paired with soft, high-key lighting, nearly all distracting environmental elements were eliminated, concentrating all attention on the subject itself. For props, there was only a white circular pedestal and a floor cushion. Such a minimalist environment actually tests the model's emotional expression and physical control quite heavily. I particularly love the perspective in Photo 2—sitting on the white circular platform crossed-legged and sideways, gently glancing back over my shoulder at the camera. This pose required balancing an upright upper body with relaxed arms, which not only highlights the slender neck and shoulder lines alongside the spaghetti straps, but also keeps the picture's center of gravity right at the middle for a very rich composition.

Being barefoot and stepping on the white props allowed me to feel the cool touch of the material, a physical sensation that actually helped me enter the character's light, ethereal state better and faster. In Photo 3, folding hands slightly in front of the chest conveys an illusion of self-protection and shyness; in Photo 1, crossing my arms with fingers casually curled showcases subtle details of her personality—occasionally tsundere and stubborn.

Throughout the entire shoot, photographer @QiYi excelled at managing the rhythm. Under the pure white soft light, our communication and collaboration were extremely smooth. This photo set didn't undergo overly complex post-processing or rendering; we simply aimed to preserve the texture of the light itself and the natural skin tones, allowing the character traits of Kasugano Sora to flow out naturally through authentic Cosplay photography language.
