[Helen cosplay] GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE, This White Military Uniform Looks Truly Amazing on Camera

This time I decided to challenge Helen's uniform look, pouring a lot of thought into everything from makeup tests to studio shooting. The tailoring of the white Military uniform puts a tailor's craftsmanship to the test; the gold trimming along the collar, waistline, and cuffs went through repeated adjustments to fit the crisp, upright feel of the original artwork. To recreate her calm yet capable demeanor, I specifically chose light blue contact lenses paired with pink-toned eyeshadow, which echoes the cool tone of her hair without making her gaze appear overly aggressive.

Choosing a pure white backdrop during shooting was intended to maximize the visual texture of the outfit itself. The lining of this cape is light blue, echoing her long hair color, and combined with the gold accessories on the front, the overall brightness is very high. Although the studio lighting was ample, the shooting process was actually quite demanding—because the outfit is slim-fitting and required holding a prop sword with a blue-and-gold color scheme, every movement required engaging core strength to maintain a tall, straight posture.

We tried several poses in the studio that day, and my personal favorite is the one-legged stance. This pose not only visually elongates the leg lines, but also pairs wonderfully with white high heels and stockings, displaying another aesthetic dimension of the uniform. My leg cramped a few times during shooting, but seeing the final result made it all feel so worthwhile, capturing Helen's "Commander" aura. I also did as much homework on equipment details as possible, from the gold embroidery on the gloves to the black-and-gold starburst ornament on the hat, matching each to the character design chart.

This costume actually lacks functional pockets and utility attachments, making the overall look extremely sleek and clean, while highlighting crisp Anime-style looks. For people who like the military style, its visual quality on camera is remarkably strong. The contrast between white and bright blue doesn't feel bland under the lens; instead, it brings a cool, elegant, and sacred feel. The synergy with the photographer this time was seamless, as he really knew how to capture the texture of my highlights. Post-processing mainly focused on adjusting skin tone and garment brightness, aiming to maintain the raw shot's translucent quality without adding heavy filters, preserving the authentic light and shadow of the military aesthetic.

Some friends might be curious about the feel of the sword—although it's a prop, it carries a certain weight. Holding the sword while standing actually made it easier to stabilize my center of gravity, and posing with it sheathed or pointing toward the sky provided a genuine sense of weight. This can be considered an immersive Cosplay photography experience brought by props, making one feel entirely transported into that fictional world. After multiple adjustments and on-site positioning tests, the final presented work—whether in line quality or overall color coordination—fits my initial understanding of Helen.
