[Furina Cosplay] Serenity and Dynamic Grace Amidst Misty Vapors: Genshin Impact Convention Photo Log - Image 2

The set of Genshin Impact Furina cosplay photos I am sharing today are actually Convention photo shots taken inside an exhibition venue. I believe many fellow cosplayers know that Convention photo shots feel completely different from studio shots with pre-set lighting; their light and shadow tend to be more natural while demanding sharper real-time adaptability during Cosplay photography. Nevertheless, I am very satisfied with this finished set.

The weather was splendid on the shooting day, with natural light filtering through the venue's steel roof structure, lending a strong geometric and orderly feel to the surrounding environment. I wore this costume dominated by ice blue and pure white, featuring remarkably lightweight, pearlescent tulle and lace fabrics. During dynamic movements, the skirt hem and surrounding sheer fabric unfolded like rolling waves, creating a genuinely ethereal flow. The wig was styled as a blue-and-white gradient curl, decorated with delicate pinkish-blue accents on the bangs and tips, perfectly aligning with the overall Water element theme.

The first image is actually a candid snapshot caught mid-leap, aimed at capturing her nimble, almost mischievous disposition. To heighten visual impact, post-production VFX added swirling water bubbles and currents around me, while a layer of water ripples was applied onto the tiled floor beneath my feet. When crafting Water element effects, ensuring light refraction on water droplets aligns with ambient lighting is critical to avoid artificial misalignment—thankfully, my post-production teammate handled it with meticulous care.

By contrast, I highly recommend checking out the second image, which I chose as the cover photo for this set. I personally adore quiet, emotionally expressive imagery. I rested lightly on a metallic high stool at the venue, allowing the skirt fabric to drape gracefully along the stool edge down to the floor—the mixed texture of linen and tulle created rich structural depth whether walking or sitting. This seated pose displayed barefoot details and leg contours; during hair and makeup prep, I intentionally kept the bare feet concept to echo icy water and serene, cool aesthetics. Light streamed in from the side, rendering both skin tones and costume highlights beautifully translucent. Resting my hand gently beside my cheek while eyes relaxed closed softly conveyed an elegant, tranquil stillness.

Color grading for the entire photo set leaned toward a soft high-key aesthetic. Executing such clean color tones requires careful balance: eliminating busy background distractions without overexposing or washing out highlights, all while preserving the delicate transparency of tulle fabrics. Although the venue backdrop featured sharp architectural lines, pairing modern structural design with her graceful persona created a compelling visual tension.

Reflecting on this costume's finer details, the hair accessories featured both shimmer powder and delicate beads, echoing the scattered rhinestones across the outfit. The skirt featured irregular asymmetric cuts specifically designed to mimic splashing water spray. Preparation required significant time before and after shooting, but capturing a clean, crystal-clear result that faithfully embodies the character brought immense joy. This session was a thoroughly delightful Cosplay photography experience, and I feel this attire commands the space effortlessly whether in dynamic movement or static poise.
