For this shoot at the Zhongshan AS Comic Convention, I brought Hatsune Miku's 'The first sound echoes into the future' design to life. The event floor was packed, so we scouted a relatively open corner against cleaner backgrounds. Holding a deep crouching pose was tough on balance, requiring considerable effort to flatter leg contours while keeping skirt layers flaring smoothly. The wig featured ultra-long cyan twin-tails with subtle pink gradient tips; to capture dynamic motion, I incorporated hair-flipping gestures, beautifully complemented by the photographer's well-placed softbox that lent hair strands an organic sheen.
The wardrobe is packed with intricate detailing: geometric piping along the collar, a draped tie over the chest, and a voluminous black ruffled skirt that required careful fluffing before every frame. The leg wear is especially distinctive—one side sporting a pale blue over-knee stocking anchored by a black thigh garter, while the other features black leather straps accented with metal buckles and golden cross ornaments, grounded by chunky teal-and-black platform heeled boots for substantial visual presence. Meeting fellow Miku fans on the con floor made the creative exchange truly wonderful. Despite the restrictive tailoring and aching knees from prolonged crouching, seeing these vibrant, character-faithful cosplay captures made every ounce of effort completely worthwhile.
