Putting on this outfit, the first thing I noticed was the tactile quality of the fabrics. The fitted corset, crafted from dark blue velvet spliced with off-white twill, paired with cascading ruffled layers, instantly established the visual focus. A black lace choker rested against the skin at the neck; although a bit warm, breathability was a necessary compromise to achieve the aristocratic elegance fitting the Nation of Hydro in Genshin Impact.

What I enjoyed most were the costume's golden metallic accessories. Ship's wheel-shaped gears at the waist and abdomen, along with star-shaped metal pieces and sapphire inlays on the chest, shimmered brilliantly under the light. To ensure these decorations didn't look cheap on camera, I specifically opted for gold-plated alloy hardware. They felt pleasantly heavy in hand and swayed gently with movement, creating a captivating aesthetic contrast between mechanical gears and soft velvet.

For this shoot, I focused heavily on the hat and parasol. The wide-brimmed dark blue top hat, featuring a large matching fabric flower and a 3D star pendant on the side, required a steady hand whenever outdoor breezes picked up. The orange-yellow parasol caught the sunlight beautifully, its acanthus scroll motifs and white lace borders adding a luminous color base. Just like in Genshin Impact's visual design, this vibrant blue-and-yellow color blocking pops amazingly outdoors.

To capture her temperament, I paired blue-gray contacts with the light blonde wig. The wig features soft, micro-wavy blonde locks that took a bit of styling to achieve a natural, fluffy volume. For makeup, I extended the eyeliner arc and lengthened the eyelashes to accentuate her sharp yet playfully spirited look. Putting on those yellow rose-framed sunglasses brought an instant shift in aura—transitioning from a dignified noble lady to a mischievously playful presence.

The outdoor location was set on a lawn framed by white railings and gravel paths. The joy of outdoor cosplay lies in this striking contrast: wearing such an exquisite gown against lush greenery requires minimal backdrops—when natural sunlight filters down, the garment's tailoring and proportions shine effortlessly. The black-brown diamond-pattern stockings and short boots adorned with star gems were especially eye-catching in full-body compositions; lifting one leg elongated leg lines while freezing the dynamic motion of the fluttering skirt.

I used to think Fontaine character designs in Genshin Impact would obscure personality under heavy formalwear, but wearing this revealed how cleverly the design streamlines details. Off-shoulder sleeve cuffs, drop-shoulder lace edges, and a structured corset create subtle skin reveals that lend a light, effortless grace to the silhouette.

There were little misadventures during the shoot, like uneven grass making steps tricky or strong winds flipping the parasol inside out. Yet these real-world interactions made the photos feel alive. Glancing back over my shoulder under the parasol or confidently smiling while holding my sunglasses captured Navia cosplay charm at its finest. This set stands out as one of my most satisfying works this year in balancing splendor and fashion—from costume fidelity to weather, lighting, and prop synergy, bringing forth the bright radiance of Fontaine.
