The shooting intensity at Bilibili World today was truly pushed to the limit. From entering the venue in the morning, I was constantly weaving between exhibition booths, having prepared several completely distinct style concepts, each presenting its own shooting challenges. The convention crowd was massive; to secure decent shooting angles, we often had to coordinate shooting routes with the photographer in advance, sometimes even waiting in line beside booths while other cosplayers finished their shoots. This opportunistic shooting style heavily tests the photographer's quick-capture skills and the cosplayer's facial expression management.
For the Angel styling, the wings and halo props were the biggest obstacles when going through security checks and squeezing through aisles, as the huge wings could easily brush against passersby. To keep the look intact, I kept the wings folded in almost the entire time, only opening up into poses once I stood in front of the lens. With the chef outfit, the white fabric was especially prone to getting dirty in the venue, so whenever sitting down, I very carefully smoothed out my skirt. The Tactical style ensemble with leather materials and straps was grueling to put on, taking at least ten to fifteen minutes each time to dress and undress. Furthermore, the heavy fabric was completely unbreathable in the crowded hall, but to capture that crisp combat readiness, I still powered through and completed the planned shots at several cyberpunk-themed neon booths. The tech-inspired cat ear outfit was comparatively lightweight; paired with the transparent streamers at the back, it flowed beautifully when moving, making it perfect for capturing dynamic action with slow-shutter continuous shooting.
