The preparations for this shoot were remarkably meticulous. To truly embody the pure, ethereal grace of E.M.T in Re:Zero, detangling and styling the long straight silver wig along with trimming the blunt bangs took up most of the morning.

In terms of styling and makeup, ensuring the Elf ears blended seamlessly was vital for honoring her half-elf lore. Because the shoot was physically demanding, I chose soft-grade silicone Elf ears with feathered, natural edges, carefully bonding them along the ear rims with special-effects adhesive and concealing the seams with foundation and concealer. For contact lenses, I chose a multi-tonal blend of light violet and soft blue, paired with pastel pink eyeshadow and lip lacquer to present translucent ocular clarity and delicate facial features on camera. The costume is built on a pure white base accented with royal purple detailing. The signature diamond cutout at the bodice and detached flared sleeves are standout elements of this ensemble; when putting them on, close attention had to be paid to the tailoring around the bust and waistline to avoid looking bulky before the lens. For the lower half, the over-the-knee White stockings feature purple scalloped lace trim; I spent quite a while adjusting their tension to ensure they wouldn't slide down or dig into the skin during seated and reclining poses. The purple piping and gilded filigree embroidery along the skirt hem caught subtle specular highlights whenever the studio lights swept across them.

Regarding the set design, to harmonize with the blue, white, and purple palette of the outfit, the studio was styled with white wrought-iron floral trellises intertwined with artificial green vines and an abundance of blue roses. In terms of props, an ivory-white grand piano served as the primary centerpiece. Moving the piano into the studio took substantial effort, but during seated shots, it provided wonderful physical support and organic interaction. Another set of shots was completed atop a European-style tufted white sofa. To balance the color harmony, we layered translucent blue cellophane and lustrous silk fabric across the cushions, scattering loose blossoms throughout. These textiles reflect light intensely under high-key illumination, requiring careful angle adjustments to keep highlights from blowing out. The miniature handheld floral prop was custom-crafted using wire and faux blossoms, intentionally picked with a green floral center to echo the purple embroidery on the dress.

For lighting, high-key soft light was used, with the main key light brought relatively close to the subject to make skin tones look luminous while softening harsh fabric shadows. Reclining semi-prone on the sofa truly tested core stability: to keep the leg lines sleek and the garment smoothly draped, my body had to stay firmly engaged off-camera while maintaining an effortless, serene facial expression. Posing before the piano called for quiet elegance, positioning my hands naturally to guide the viewer's eye. Looking back, while physically exhausting, seeing the final lighting and colors achieve the exact envisioned mood made every bit of effort deeply worthwhile. From early preparation to the final shutter release, every single detail was patiently sculpted and refined.
