Heading to the snowy mountains for this Marisa Kirisame cosplay Snowy landscape travel photography session, the intense glare from the snow made light much harder to control than typical indoor setups, so we communicated thoroughly with the photographer beforehand. This outfit for The Black and White Magician is rich in intricate details—especially the oversized witch hat and cascading skirt tiers—which made walking rather cumbersome. To bring out Marisa's lively and extroverted personality, iconic props like the magic broom and lantern were deliberately incorporated to guide my movements, making poses look more dynamic and natural.

Because the temperature on location was freezing, the costume, despite looking substantial and puffy, was quite breathable and wind-permeable, requiring me to bundle up in a heavy coat between takes. To bring vitality to the frame, I chose crouching and seated poses; this gracefully showcased the ruffles and white lace borders of the skirt while naturally revealing the legs in White stockings. Paired with platform black leather shoes, the overall monochrome ratio was nicely balanced. The vast, open expanse of the snowy mountains provided a minimalist backdrop that accentuated the intricate layers of the attire.

During shooting, we even harnessed lens flare refraction to capture rainbow halos streaking across the frame—a delightful surprise. In terms of styling prep, hair spray was applied in advance to tame the long blonde waves prone to wind tangles. Regarding character expression, since she is inherently an energetic magician, I kept gestures bold and sweeping to complement the fairy-tale snowy landscape. Immense care went into this project—especially the delicate star ornaments along the skirt hem and the lace textures along the fabric edges, looking exceptionally refined under natural daylight. Though the entire process was physically demanding, the final textures blended seamlessly into the snowy landscape for a truly picturesque Touhou Project Marisa cosplay set.
