Cosplaying Sora from Goddess of Victory: Nikke this time, the wardrobe was styled around a classic Flight attendant uniform aesthetic. To achieve faithful recreation, I poured extensive care into garment details. The inner white tee utilized a stretch-knit fabric, with crisp, structured black trim across the neckline and cuffs to maintain the garment's sharp tailoring. The blue neckerchief across the chest appears simple at a glance, yet tying it into an effortlessly elegant inverted triangle demanded repeated mirror adjustments. The deep navy high-waisted mini skirt was cinched with a slim black belt and dual golden buckle rings, neatly dividing body proportions visually.
For the wig, although the blunt-banged twin pigtails look breezy and fresh, trimming and styling took considerable time. I specifically chose lustrous black synthetic fibers paired with a pair of delicate gold hair rings to mirror the character's persona. The black choker accented with a metal O-ring around the neck served as a striking highlight, crafted from supple faux leather so it remained comfortable throughout a long day of wear.
A primary focus on shoot day was the prop arrangement. The clear plastic bags packed with gold coins and paper bills were custom props prepared in advance. To evoke a cinematic narrative—whether embarking on a journey or staging a clandestine trade—I brought along a black luggage suitcase as a key staging element. In the first shot, perched atop a tall barstool, I gripped the suitcase trolley handle with one hand while striking a pose with the other. Balancing my center of gravity here was paramount; crossing my legs elongated leg lines while showcasing the interplay between the White stockings and red-soled heels. For footwear, I chose black patent-leather platform stilettos, whose vibrant red outsoles popped crisply against studio lights, contrasting against the overall deep navy palette.
Throughout the shoot, photographer @ManyuQiaqia continually guided my rhythm. In the second frame, pulling open the jacket to reveal the inner pockets, keeping the arm flare moderate was crucial to avoid broadening the silhouette, requiring a subtle chest tuck paired with a playful, confident gaze. In the third side-profile glancing-back pose, the key lay in an upright spine and the precise lift of the left leg, cleanly highlighting the stiletto heel while keeping a natural, composed smile. We spent a full day in the studio sculpting textile sheen through precise lighting; the clean white cyc background locked visual focus squarely onto the character and props.
During pre-production, I closely analyzed the tailoring of this outfit. Cosplay goes far beyond merely wearing a costume; it requires weaving your understanding of the character's presence into every glance and gesture. Sora's design carries strong professional polish laced with subtle contrasting charm, so when shaping poses, I strove for unhurried, poised composure. Looking back at this collection, every micro-detail was polished with care, and I hope everyone can feel the sincerity poured into this work.
