The concept behind today's photo set was clear: I wanted to showcase the quiet and gentle side of Emilia from Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World. Therefore, the shoot was set in an indoor floral conservatory styled with an intensely vintage aesthetic.

First, let's talk about the hair and makeup. To recreate the character's signature silver hair, I spent a lot of time adjusting the texture of the wig, hand-braiding a crown braid on top, and embellishing it with white flowers and cross-star hair clips. For the makeup, the blue contact lenses were the soul; I blended a soft reddish-pink eyeshadow across a wide area around the eyes, paired with a sheer, translucent base to create a clean yet slightly delicate, fragile mood. The costume is a white and purple dress; the high-neck, sleeveless cut paired with the green gemstone pendant on the chest is truly eye-catching. The detached sleeves on my arms are made of sheer purple chiffon that floats gently with every movement, exuding an ethereal charm. The skirt hem is outlined with purple piping, paired with white over-the-knee socks (White stockings) featuring purple scalloped edges, and finished with white high heels, making the entire color scheme harmoniously unified.

The set design had so much thought put into it. The background featured an oval full-length mirror with a white frame beside an antique white bedframe. Abundant purple irises, white roses, green hydrangeas, and ferns intertwined, paired with white sheer curtains and wooden-framed windows, immediately giving the space rich visual layers. For props across different scenes, I used lilies, a dark hardcover book, a woven wicker basket, and a vintage printed teacup. Particularly in the piano scene, sheet music and a slice of blueberry chocolate cake were arranged on top, adding a cozy slice-of-life warmth.

The shooting process was definitely an endurance test. Walking in high heels through the intricate flower arrangements to find angles while constantly watching out so the skirt wouldn't snag on branches required steady patience. To capture a natural look gazing outside by the window, I kept tweaking my standing posture so the light fell delicately across my eyelashes and hair strands. During seated shots, to flatter the lines of the legs and the silky texture of the White stockings, I repeatedly adjusted the bend of my knees and the pointing of my toes. For the shots leaning over the piano, the oversized detached sleeves kept slipping down, so I had to pinch the cuffs lightly with my fingertips while keeping my upper body relaxed. Throughout the session, the photographer's mastery over light and shadow was superb, combining natural light filtering through the windows with reflector fill to keep the frames clear and luminous.

In terms of emotional expression, Emilia embodies purity and tenderness. In front of the camera, I avoided forceful or sharp gazes, opting instead to look down at flowers, lift a hand to pour tea, or gaze softly at my reflection in the mirror to convey a serene atmosphere. Although the makeup carried a relatively heavy pinkish-red eye wash, it looked very natural and flattering on camera. Posing with the teacup and flower basket required testing finger placements repeatedly to ensure everything looked organic yet graceful. In the conservatory set, I especially loved the photo sitting amidst the flowers holding the cake—it felt like a lazy afternoon accompanied by a sweet dessert and an old book. Looking at the outfit's details, the purple splicing on the chest was tailored snugly, while the back cutout and shoulder exposure struck just the right balance. The pairing of white stockings and heels visually elongated my leg proportions, looking even more graceful against the backdrop of the sea of flowers. The final images turned out like a quiet fairytale pictorial, with the white, purple, and green palette looking pure and sophisticated. From the early styling and prop preparations to refining every subtle gesture during the shoot, so much effort was poured into this work, and I hope this quiet beauty reaches everyone.
