This time, the character I'm cosplaying is Yukina Minato from BanG Dream!, who is also the vocalist of Roselia. Actually, preparing this gear took quite a bit of time, especially the details of the wig and eye makeup. In order to recreate that cool and focused gaze, the eyeliner alone was adjusted through several versions. The costume is highly layered, with purple and black stitching combined with golden trim and that giant purplish-red bow. The overall visual weight is heavy, but it actually feels quite clean and sharp when worn.
During the shoot, we specifically chose a set of cool blue lighting with a touch of a stage spotlight atmosphere, which better reflects Roselia's dark yet gorgeous tone. The arm sleeves on my hands and the lace choker around my neck were also coordinated by myself, keeping the details as close to the original setting as possible. Although it looks very cool in front of the lens, to be honest, moving around in this outfit really tests one's physical endurance. Especially with the many layers of the skirt hem, I had to be careful not to trip when turning around.
However, as soon as I strike this pose, that "uncompromising" aura naturally brings itself out. Many people have asked why I like this character; it's probably because of that absolute dedication to music. Even off-stage, that sense of focus is always engraved in the character's core. Overall, I am very satisfied with this shoot, except for making a few slight trade-offs in lighting and composition to ensure that both the facial features and costume details are clearly presented. During the cosplay process, the most interesting part is actually studying how to transform a flat character into a three-dimensional visual language. The flow of every single hair strand and the position of every accessory all affect the final presentation. I hope this set of photos can make people feel a bit of the tension on Roselia's stage.
