[Murasa Minamitsu cosplay] Touhou Seirensen ~ Undefined Fantastic Object: Braving the Early Morning Sleepiness Challenge with an Anchor

Yesterday, I dragged myself out of bed at 3 AM to do my makeup and rushed to catch the early morning light for the shoot, putting in every ounce of effort to faithfully recreate Murasa Minamitsu cosplay from Touhou Seirensen ~ Undefined Fantastic Object. First, regarding the makeup and styling: although I was so exhausted I could barely keep my eyes open, I didn't dare cut corners on the base or eye makeup. To capture the character's slightly mysterious gaze, I specifically chose vibrant colored contact lenses and adjusted the eyeliner multiple times. Trimming and styling the wig took considerable work as well, carefully dialing in the curve of the bangs over the eyes so they looked both hazy and sharp on camera.

This Sailor suit looks genuinely great to wear, with exquisite dark blue stripe details on the collar and cuffs, and the angle of the red neckerchief knot was adjusted repeatedly. To present better leg lines, the combination of over-the-knee White stockings and black boots was adjusted several times, checking the proportions in a full-length mirror again and again. The toughest part was definitely that large black anchor prop—far heavier than expected—making my arm ache when holding it one-handed to pose. To make it look effortless on camera, I had to continuously adjust my grip to find leverage points that supported the weight. Having woken up so early, by the end of the shoot my body was running on pure instinct; waves of sleepiness kept hitting me, but I had to focus on keeping my eyes wide and locked onto the lens.

Taking advantage of the crisp, clear morning light, the photographer quickly finished both the full-body shots and close-ups. The white skirt and White stockings combination is very expressive, but waking up early alongside an intense shoot really tested physical endurance. This photo set was mainly aimed at capturing Murasa Minamitsu's contrasting charm as a ship phantom: the Sailor suit looks innocent, yet the anchor in hand and her gaze carry an otherworldly depth. Bringing out this temperament required nailing both the facial expressions and poses. High fidelity in props, costume, hair, and makeup was the baseline requirement for this shoot, so no matter how tired I was, I had to bring out my best expression in front of the lens. Looking back at the shoot, staying up late and then waking up at dawn was an extreme test for both skin and body, but seeing the raw photos made all the fatigue completely worthwhile.
