[Nahida Cosplay] Sumeru's Verdant Hue and the Convention Spotlights

Under the ceiling lights of the indoor exhibition hall, the white base fabric of the outfit displayed a highly translucent texture, with the green patterns covering the surface and the gold trim along the edges showing max detail on camera.

The layers of the wig were trimmed quite finely, featuring mint green highlights within the slightly wavy silvery-white strands. The bangs maintained an airy feel, ensuring that even when wearing the pointy elf ear props, it wouldn't visually make the forehead look too wide. The elf ears were secured to the auricles using skin wax, providing a high degree of seamless fit. Paired with a headpiece composed of matching green leaves and a gold frame, the overall look perfectly recreated the details of the Dendro element.

This outfit is a classic combination of 'thickness on the upper body and fluidity on the lower body.' The collar section uses dark green matte fabric patchwork combined with rigid carved gold edges, which effectively props up the entire silhouette. The circular gold chains draped across the abdomen sway slightly as I walk, adding a dynamic quality to the experience. The giant green leaf decorations with gold trim at the hem provide a very strong visual centering effect. Most notably, the golden bracelets worn on the arms, connected to an ultra-thin green tulle shawl, create a wonderful extension of depth in the frame when the camera zooms in.

That day, I met up with Yueyue (Wanderer CN) inside the venue, and we took a few sets of duo interaction photos while the lighting was optimal. He portrayed a character with deep blue-purple hair, and his attire featured a patchwork of black, white, and blue, forming a nice cool-to-warm contrast with my white and green color scheme. In the duo photos of Photo 3 and Photo 4, we experimented with different postures, such as a high-and-low standing pose, as well as a perspective of sitting on the ground. The reflection from the exhibition hall's marble floor perfectly caught the flared lighting of our silhouettes.

Shooting this kind of lightweight attire actually requires a certain level of control over postures and expressions because the fabric wrinkles easily with movement. I constantly had to adjust my body's center of gravity to maintain the drape of the skirt. The white strap decorations on the feet, paired with metal ring anklets, created a wonderful harmony with the ground's reflection in the seated composition (Photo 4). Considering the heavy foot traffic at the convention, capturing photos with a clean background really took a lot of time waiting for passersby to clear out, and sometimes required using a wide-angle lens to maximize the distance between the subject and the background.

In terms of makeup, this look emphasized the contrast between the green colored contacts and the white wig. The outer eyeliner was elongated slightly, and the lip color was a restrained cinnamon tone to avoid over-saturating the overall colors. Although the entire shoot was quite physically demanding, being able to recreate the character's light and natural elements within a real-world venue, and shooting satisfying photos with my partner, made the overall experience incredibly joyful.
