A lot of thought actually went into the details of this Lumine outfit from Genshin Impact, especially that diamond-shaped holographic material decoration on the chest, which refracts different colors under various lighting conditions, staying very close to the effect in the original artwork. The wig chosen was a matte blonde, with layers trimmed so that the bangs and sideburns naturally contour the face shape, preventing it from looking too heavy in photos. The white flower decorations and feather accessories on the head were reinforced, as it's easy for them to get knocked askew in the crowded anime convention.
For the makeup, the base was kept as clean and translucent as possible, with the eyeliner winged up slightly to recreate the character's charm. A blue teardrop-shaped graffiti was drawn on the cheek, which, combined with the eyes-closed expression, creates a daily vibe of "clearly helpless yet still so cute."
In fact, the most enjoyable part of doing cosplay is capturing the moments of empathy between the character and myself in front of the lens. It doesn't always have to be a combat pose; relaxing like this with closed eyes and a smile feels much closer to a resting state during a journey. The photographer's snapshot timing was excellent, and the soft lighting beautifully brought out the fabric textures and the quality of the metal pieces for this piece of Cosplay photography. Every time I put on this gear, I am reminded of the time spent exploring Teyvat, and that pure sense of adventure is the driving force that keeps me trying new cosplays for these Convention photos.
