[Momoka Hanyuu cosplay] Elf Messenger in Arknights: A Selfie Log in a Stuffy Summer Car

Today's Momoka Hanyuu cosplay outfit from Arknights truly made me experience what a walking steamer hell feels like.

Sitting in the back seat right now, sunlight streams straight in through the car window. Cold air from the front AC doesn't reach the back at all, making me feel like I'm stuffed inside a massive sealed sauna room. Putting on the coat is out of the question; just this dark blue tube top, red neckerchief, black straps, and metal buckles on my body make my skin feel stifled. The fabric of this costume is structured, but also somewhat unbreathable, clinging to skin as soon as I sweat even a little. With my neck bound by the bowtie and decorative straps, it feels suffocating, and I don't dare move freely for fear of messing up my hairstyle or collar folds.

The wig is another disaster zone. This pink-orange wig has a huge volume of hair, which, combined with the red bow hairpiece on top, adds quite a bit of weight to my head instantly. On top of that, I have to attach the exaggerated Elf ear style prop to my ears; every time I turn my head slightly wearing this wig, the wig hair and elf ears clash with each other. Coupled with the invisible wig net worn to prevent slipping, my scalp feels numb after a few hours. The essence of doing cosplay is finding oneself through painful yet joyful moments—this saying is spot on.

For the effect of this outfit, I specifically trimmed the wig bangs this morning and spent plenty of time on eye makeup, emphasizing red tones and blending effects to complement this ethereal elf-like look. Although these pointed ears drew stares from passersby—while waiting at a red light by the roadside, uncles and aunties on a bus outside the window seemed to glance at me quite a few times—causing a bit of mild embarrassment, I actually quite enjoy this "immersive" sense of being in character.

Those bubble wraps and plastic bags piled beside the back seat are gear I just brought out from home, which I haven't freed up hands to pack up yet. Doing outdoor shoots in this kind of high-temperature weather—especially sitting in a car getting soaked in sweat before even getting out—my biggest worry was that newly applied makeup wouldn't hold up and melt away. Luckily, my oil control and setting makeup held up alright; taking a few selfie shots with the front camera, the off-the-shoulder design and red-blue color block of this outfit truly look skin-brightening, enhancing skin texture and facial features delicately. The dark blue tube top nicely showcases collarbone and shoulder contours, while the red neckerchief and metal collar buckles add a touch of cool, sharp energy.

Actually, this Momoka Hanyuu look features very distinctive clothing pairings—for example, the red rope strapping detail and the cutout design on the chest possess both cute elements and an agile touch. Although wearing it makes me sweat heavily from the heat, seeing how the final look turns out makes all this hardship feel worth it. If there's a bit more breeze later, I plan to find some tree shade to take a few Convention photos before heading back to the parking lot. After all, getting soaked in sweat for a satisfying set of photos is a regular occurrence.

Although starting the weekend this way feels a bit stuffy and hot, immersing myself in a character I love is a form of healing. Getting ready to grab my props, move locations, and continue with the upcoming shooting tasks.
