Today I'm sharing my official Hyacinthia cosplay photoshoot from Honkai: Star Rail! The studio set was arranged like a total dream on shooting day—a golden metallic birdcage structure paired with cascading layers of white sheer gauze, bathed in soft light refracting through stained-glass windows behind. The environment matched the character's sweet essence flawlessly.
During costume preparation, I focused heavily on balancing accuracy with wearability. The deep red vest form was built with great structure; gold edging and gold-foil pattern details used moderate luster materials to avoid harsh reflections under studio lamps. The white inner shirt retained classic puff sleeves, while the bright blue bow tie at the chest served as a visual focal point—I even brought several backup sizes for easy adjustment. The white ruffled skirt paired with opaque white tights delivered a style combining cuteness and purity, appearing exceptionally crisp on camera.
For hair and makeup, I used a pink high-temperature silk wig styled into fluffy twin-tails, carefully trimming the bangs to frame my face. Cyan-blue hair strands accents along the sides and tips brought out her lively spirit, complemented by a red-and-white mini hat decorated with white fluff and small bells. Eye makeup relied on warm pink tones with slightly extended eyeliner to make my eyes look clear and bright, combining with a translucent base for a soft anime girl aesthetic.
The staff weapon prop was another highlight of this shoot. The blue-and-gold magic staff featured a bright blue orb at its core, held by a textured golden frame and wrapped with soft light-blue plush decor along the handle. During the session, the staff served not only as an atmosphere-enhancing prop, but also as a balancing anchor for my posing, making full-body movements look effortless and relaxed.
Set details deserve special mention as well. A white plush toy on the left foreground alongside delicate English teacups on the table created a rich foreground, adding a cozy, narrative layer to the frame—perfectly capturing that gentle \"baby feeding outfit\" aesthetic with sweet warmth. White Roman pillars, surrounded by white and light-purple floral branches inside the golden cage framework, made me feel as if I were standing inside a private fantasy garden.
Throughout the session, the photographer constantly coordinated lighting and emotional delivery with me. We harnessed light passing through stained glass to create rim lighting along my hair strands and outfit edges, preventing the deep red vest from looking dull while preserving bright skin tones. Golden frames and the rounded cage structure formed a natural framing composition, drawing gaze smoothly toward the subject.
Styling and shooting lasted from morning until late afternoon. Though exhausting, seeing raw photos exported brought an indescribable fulfillment from bringing a beloved character to life. Post-processing color grading leaned into bright, soft macaron tones while preserving natural transparency. Whether in close-up portraits or wide shots, we strove to align visually with that bright, magical anime cosplay aesthetic. Stepping into Hyacinthia's shoes within such a dreamy scene was truly a joyful experience!
