The concept for this exotic fan-design Daji was actually conceived over half a year ago; unable to find a suitable pre-made cut, I ultimately decided to assemble the look myself. While Daji's original design in Honor of Kings is already an absolute classic, creating a fan-design variant gave me room to emphasize a fox form carrying the essence of an exotic dancer.

Starting with the wardrobe, the visual anchor truly centers on the lower half. The inner pants were cut from peacock-blue velvet in a wide-leg silhouette—a fabric that catches directional light with a radiant sheen and drapes heavily, effortlessly flattering leg contours whether walking or seated. The exterior was draped with a matching layer of semi-sheer tulle, adding volume, movement, and weightless depth. To honor the exotic motif, an ornate golden chain belt was layered at the waist, which not only served as ornamental jewelry but also cinched the waistline to elongate physical proportions. The strapless bustier mirrored this pleated velvet construction, accented with a diamond-shaped gemstone at the center to form a high-contrast vintage blue-and-gold palette.

Styling and makeup demanded substantial dedication. The wig was chosen in a warm, orange-tinted light brown with feathered layers to frame and slim the face. The beast ears featured gold-trimmed edges, complemented by a turquoise gemstone pendant resting on the forehead to echo the fabric tones. The eye makeup was meticulously crafted: to channel the seductive charm of a fox spirit, I blended reddish-pink eyeshadow, extending and subtly flicking the eyeliner upward. Even with colored contact lenses, capturing that hypnotic gaze relied heavily on the definition of the eye contour.

The photoshoot took place in a hotel hallway where the carpet pattern was somewhat ornate. In post-production, I subdued the background tones and composited soft golden light trails alongside drifting leaves, which amplified the fantastical atmosphere while drawing visual focus squarely back to the subject.

In terms of poses, the flowing silk ribbon in hand served as an exceptional dynamic prop. Whether seated or standing, tossing the ribbon required fluid wrist and arm flexibility without looking rigid. To complement the languid, untamed vibe of the attire, I chose to shoot barefoot, which heightened the unrestrained freedom of an exotic dancer. Among the entire set, my absolute favorites are the shots seated on the chair with bare legs crossed, dropping my gaze slightly with parted lips to capture that signature mix of innocent vulnerability and sultry allure characteristic of Daji. Although retouching took considerable time, the final outcome completely matched the exotic fantasy tone I had envisioned.

Props for this cosplay were minimal, focusing primarily on the silk ribbon and gleaming metallic accessories. The golden collar chokers and arm cuffs tended to slip down with the slightest movement, requiring constant readjustments between shutter clicks. Furthermore, sheer tulle accumulates static electricity quickly, clinging to the legs and disrupting garment lines if left unchecked, so anti-static spray was indispensable on set. The greatest joy of a fan-design lies in injecting personal aesthetic preferences without being rigidly constrained by original color schemes or patterns, so long as the soul and core hallmarks of the character remain intact. Red eyeshadow and blue garments naturally complement each other in color theory, creating an eye-catching, harmonious contrast that feels remarkably striking.
