The Zenless Zone Zero and McDonald's collaboration campaign attracted a large number of players for offline check-ins, and this time we donned our meticulously prepared themed outfits to take part in the official Bangboo parade offline shoot. The collaboration series garments extensively utilize the brand's iconic red, white, and yellow palette as key visual elements; items such as headpieces, miniskirts, high socks, and jackets boast high fidelity, which, paired with the two chubby, massive inflatable Bangboo models behind us, created a distinctive anime-themed ambiance for our Zenless Zone Zero Cosplay.
The four of us were equipped with classic McDonald's props including takeout paper bags, burger boxes, and drinks; these subtle details not only enriched the overall styling but also established strong visual ties with the McDonald's collaboration cosplay offline setting. To ensure a natural and energetic photo set, we scouted an open outdoor area of a commercial plaza beforehand, making multiple standing position adjustments based on afternoon light angles and overall composition. On the left, the girl wearing a white set paired with yellow knee-high boots struck a lively pose with one leg raised, echoing the Bangboo inflatable model behind her in spatial harmony; the two girls in the center held a burger box and a beverage, utilizing unique body language and eye contact to recreate the characters' nimble, playful essence in this Cosplay outfit. On the far right, the member sporting a specialized earmuff helmet and red-and-yellow jacket formed an intriguing contrast between tough gear and soft props.
The most challenging aspect during the shoot was coordinating interactions with the giant inflatable mascots; because the Bangboo inflatables are massive and prone to swaying in outdoor winds, we repeatedly adjusted our four-person positions and focal lengths to ensure background elements remained full without breaking the frame during this Offline cosplay. Throughout the promotional cycle of this joint project, wearing these faithful costumes to check in at themed stores and offline pop-up scenes significantly enhanced the immersion of real-world participation, prompting passersby in the plaza to pause and admire our styling and event progress. The outdoor natural lighting conditions were ideal that day—preventing overexposure while beautifully preserving fabric texture details—and under well-diffused outdoor light, the vibrance and saturation of the red and yellow tones were rendered to perfection.
Sharing this styling collaboration content is not only a high-quality contribution to the Zenless Zone Zero creator incentive program, but also an endeavor to bring that energetic street dynamism from the screen into real life through this McDonald's collaboration cosplay. Merch paper bags, co-branded drinks, and burger models as props presented an exquisitely polished atmosphere before the lens; from the grip angles to facial expression control, every detail was repeatedly refined on site, reflecting the dedicated efforts of both the photographer and styling team. Participating in themed Offline cosplay with defined contextual scenes offers comprehensive growth for one's cosplay skill set—including controlling garment texture, fine-tuning hair and makeup details, and elevating on-camera expressiveness. In the future, I hope to continue engaging in more offline collaborations that deeply integrate premier anime IPs with consumer lifestyle brands, offering continuous fresh material and creative inspiration for conventions and cosplay photography.
