Standing in front of the mirror examining this gear, the overall silhouette has fully presented the aura Fleurdelis should have. With the blue cape draping behind me and holding the greatsword, there's indeed a sense of crushing pressure stepping through thorns. This outfit comes from July's Meow House. Today, I put on the full set to carefully feel the fit of each part.

Let's talk about the main design of the clothing first. The black and white base color combined with accents of dark blue elements, the hollowed-out design on the chest paired with a black high-collar choker, and then decorated with a golden cross pendant and blue thorn-like fixing straps—the visual layers are very rich. The texture of the details on the chest is decent, and the reflective properties of the fabric show a nice sense of premium quality under the flash. The black leggings for the lower body paired with white-bordered outer decorations, along with the gravity-draped effect of the dark blue long cape behind, will make the character highly recognizable in the exhibition hall. However, although the clothing is tight-fitting, it requires controlling the shifting of the hip decorations through specific positioning and breathing in front of the lens; otherwise, it easily looks less clean. This makes for a great cosplay outfit exploration.

But throughout the fitting process, I clearly felt that two points need heavy reworking: the headpiece and the gauntlets. Although the combination of the single horn and the blue ring light on the headpiece is cleverly designed, the prop itself is on the heavier side. The fixation point clamped behind the head experiences uneven stress, causing slight shifts with even small head turns. Moreover, the lines of the blue ring-shaped thorns are hard to keep perfectly symmetrical in mass factory production, which exposes the issue of edges not being sharp enough in close-up shots. As for the gauntlets, although the thickness of the hard armor is sufficient, joint movement is highly restricted, creating a stiff sense of constraint when gripping the greatsword. Considering that posing in combat stances requires more vivid body language, I have already decided to find materials myself to redesign and customize a new set of headpiece and gauntlets, embarking on a comprehensive cosplay prop modification.

For the remake plan of this headpiece, I intend to use 3D modeling to output the original design model and then print it via nylon sintering. This will achieve lightweighting while ensuring every curve of the thorn ring is accurately restored. The surface treatment will involve spraying a silver primer plus a transparent blue topcoat to present a water-like translucent texture. Meanwhile, a dedicated silicone soft cushion will be added inside the headpiece to ensure it remains comfortable even after wearing it continuously at a convention for four or five hours. The optimization of the gauntlets will focus on a multi-part design, converting the original integrated structure into a multi-segment movable assembly. This way, during photoshoots, it can be tightened securely using inner elastic cords while ensuring the fingers can perform various complex actions like pointing to the sky or gripping the sword.

Let's talk about the greatsword prop itself. The proportion of this greatsword is huge; the massive blade paired with the white, gold, and blue color scheme plays a crucial role in the visual balance of the photos. When actually holding it, the distribution of the center of gravity is relatively reasonable, allowing the tip of the sword to touch the ground naturally. Holding it with one hand during photography is barely manageable, but to pull off those airborne horizontal slashing actions, I estimate I'll need a helper to assist in lifting the sword during the official shoot. The transparent high-heeled sandals are also a test for me. Although these shoes do visually elongate the leg proportions and make the full-body shots look extremely slender, standing on the circular display platform for a long time concentrates the pressure on the forefoot, requiring posture adjustments to relieve fatigue.

Although the skeleton of the clothing is already there for this fitting and many details are highly accurate, it is precisely this review that strengthened my determination to perform a second modification on the gauntlets and headpiece. For cosplay, details often determine the texture of the photos. Especially for these accessories, as long as one reflective surface is uneven under the light, the sharpness of the whole character will be weakened. I plan to have all the newly customized accessories matched and ready before the next convention, at which time I'll do a full makeup and styling session, striving to accurately convey Fleurdelis's cold, aloof, and sharp posture from Wuthering Waves.
