This photoshoot of Denia from Wuthering Waves required immense thought, from costume pattern-making to prop crafting. This outfit features an exceptionally rich layering; the outer layer is a white camisole dress with a subtle shimmering texture on the surface, featuring black criss-cross straps and a black bow on the chest, while the golden chain around the waist and the huge sapphire pendant serve as the visual focal points. The skirt hem's design is particularly interesting, divided into three layers in total: the outermost layer is white ruffles, the middle is black, and the innermost layer utilizes a reflective dark blue material, creating a gorgeous refraction effect when walking or sitting. To match the overall styling, I specifically chose Nude stockings paired with black criss-cross strapped shoes, ensuring that the leg lines look cleaner and more slender during standing and sitting photoshoots. The wig is a light pink to light blue gradient, and the white bow and small cross hairclip on top of the head required plenty of hairspray and an inner mesh for fixing to maintain a fluffy yet three-dimensional feel. The hair ornament features blue gemstones, echoing the blue choker around the neck. In terms of makeup, bright blue circle lenses are definitely the core highlight; the eye makeup emphasized eye contours, utilizing not only false eyelashes but also adding a slightly reddish element at the outer corners to enhance a dreamy atmosphere. Regarding props, the long-handled staff features a crescent shape and a purple sphere at the top, along with long blue ribbons; holding it in hand actually carries some weight, but for the sake of a great posture, maintaining arm stability and wrist strength was essential throughout the shoot. The small black plush doll at the waist and the golden star prop in hand also added cute details. The set design chose a deep red velvet curtain, matched with suspended golden star decorations, alongside vintage dark ceramic pots and autumn-colored floral arrangements on the side, overall crafting a gorgeous stage or palatial feel. During the shoot, lighting was particularly important; to highlight facial and costume textural quality, front lighting was applied evenly, while rim backlighting was added on the side. For the first close-up shot, I deliberately utilized hand gestures and the star prop to guide the gaze, with eyes looking straight into the lens, and foreground obstructions blurred out to enhance spatial depth within the frame; the second full-body standing shot focused on showcasing the costume's overall tailoring and leg lines, with hands spreading naturally while holding up the skirt hem; the third shot featured sitting on a wooden high barstool with crossed legs, which not only looked relaxed but also splendidly displayed the spreading layers of the skirt and the dark inner lining. Throughout the entire shooting process, everyone coordinated seamlessly; whether adjusting the skirt's pleats or the staff's angle, the goal was to present the character's traits as fully as possible. Organizing the photos after the shoot and seeing how well all these details were captured made all the previous preparations feel completely worthwhile.
