[Denia Cosplay] The Peach Girl from Wuthering Waves, Magical Moments in a Retro Study

A lot of details were prepared for this Denia look, especially the purple gemstone and the crescent moon-shaped ornament on the staff, where a lot of effort was spent to recreate the texture. The wig features a gradient pink-purple shade with light blue tips; it took a long time of trimming and teasing to achieve a fluffy yet natural curve. The small wing hair accessories on top and the blue gemstone accents are highly faithful to the original design.

For the outfit, a white tube top was paired with a black pleated skirt, with an inner white tulle layer that reveals some subtle layering when walking. The detachable sleeves are made of semi-transparent pink tulle with plush fur trimming, giving hand movements a flowing feel after putting them on. The red gloves are the highlight, creating a sharp contrast against white and black, making hand poses much more eye-catching. This time I paired it with white over-the-knee socks and black cross-strap high heels. The heels are about 7-8 cm—quite tiring after standing for a while—but I endured it to elongate my leg lines and overall demeanor.

The shooting location was a retro studio featuring a black-and-white checkerboard floor, deep red drapes, and purplish-red ambient light, instantly setting the atmosphere. The props were richly arranged: piano, globe, vintage clock, gramophone, and a green desk lamp filled the space without looking cluttered. The photographer used both wide-angle and telephoto lenses. One shot in the set uses the tip of the staff as a foreground close-up, creating a strong sense of perspective, while another dynamic full-body capture shows the skirt fluttering in the air, highlighting the outfit's layers and movement.

The sitting pose is one I'm quite satisfied with, as it fully showcases my leg lines and shoe style, while the overall composition remains grounded. Resting my hand on the staff, the posture feels relaxed yet retains the character's noble and slightly playful charm. Honestly, the most enjoyable part of cosplay photography isn't just how refined the final photos turn out, but the whole process from preparing props and trying on makeup to collaborating on set with the photographer. This staff was custom-made; the purple orb has great light transparency and casts a beautiful luster under side-backlighting. The blue choker and gold chain around my neck were also enhanced with extra detail.

The shoot took about three hours. Midway through, we had to adjust poses several times because the sleeves were too long and kept snagging on the staff. However, the yield rate was high. The purple light hitting the white clothes created a faint pink-purple tint that echoed the wig color, yielding a very soft overall tone. Although it didn't fully recreate every special effect in the game, being able to achieve this retro fantasy quality under real-world shooting conditions exceeded my expectations. I hope everyone can feel the thoughtful little details put into this outfit.
