From July 25 to 26, 2026, the Coastline Anime and Game Carnival was held as scheduled in Hall 3 of the Xiamen International Expo Center. On the first day, my chosen look corresponded to Frolo's design concept, featuring a blue-green Chinese-style long dress paired with matching gloves, holding an oil-paper umbrella as a prop. The open overhead lighting inside the exhibition hall was very friendly to the presentation of the costume's texture, and the clean reflection on the floor effectively stretched the visual layers. The on-site interaction area and game experience area were well-laid out. After walking around, the richness of the gameplay truly fit the theme of a summer adventure.
On the second day, I switched to the classic maid outfit of Hayate. The blue-and-white colored top and apron, paired with matching gloves and a tray—this kind of somewhat casual yet slightly magnificent look easily attracted cameras on-site for Cosplay photography. The Xiamen International Expo Center is massive, and the interior space of Hall 3 is spacious, maintaining a good walking experience even with heavy foot traffic. The pace of the two-day participation was quite fulfilling. In terms of the guest lineup, July 25 featured interaction sessions with Tuli, Zhangyu Lala, Yuzhou Tepai, and Doubao Zhihui Chifan, while the next day featured Mabuji, Songxi, Dibao, Linzhi, and Meike, which definitely enriched the content layers of the event.
In terms of transportation preparation, Metro Line 3 goes directly to the Xiamen International Expo Center Station. This is very labor-saving for cosplayers wearing heavy props or carrying multiple sets of outfits. Walking a few minutes after exiting the station allows for a smooth entry, reducing a lot of unnecessary physical exertion. The abundant air conditioning inside the pavilion is also a plus for attending conventions in the summer for a long time; one won't sweat excessively due to heavy clothing, so you can comfortably finish shooting a whole set of Convention photos at this Xiamen Anime Convention. The entire working group of the Coastline Carnival maintained great order on-site, with the entry process and guide signs being very clear, reducing various trivial communication costs. Visiting Xiamen for this convention made me deeply feel that the venue's facilities and hardware conditions exceeded expectations. Being able to participate in a convention with an excellent atmosphere in midsummer and exchange outfit tips with many fellow hobbyists provided a complete experience, offering a reference direction for planning the next stop's activities.
