This time, I portrayed Diaochan from Honor of Kings, centering the styling around a pink-and-white palette to convey a balance of aloof purity and soft gentleness in this Ancient style cosplay. For the wardrobe, the bodice consists of a white-to-pink gradient strapless mini-dress with an asymmetrical, multi-layered hemline. The fabric carries a subtle shimmer that casts a delicate specular glow under studio light. The golden filigree ornaments at the waist and bust are embedded with sapphire-blue gemstones, serving as striking focal points. The most intricate design element lies in the flowing sleeves along the arms: crafted from semi-sheer organza and tailored into pink Lotus bud silhouettes at the cuffs, achieving an ideal drape and airy flutter. To mirror the canonical headpiece, a dark brown wig was sculpted into a high topknot bun, adorned with golden lotus hairpins, while a gilded forehead chain set with three teardrop blue jewels brought an instant surge of regal elegance.

Cosmetically, I intensified the pink tones of the eyeshadow, dotting micro-glitter across the ocular margins and cheekbones, paired with petal-pink lips to enhance facial refinement. The blue forehead gem was affixed with specialized eyelash glue, ensuring strong adhesion without budging throughout long hours under the lights. The white choker necklace set with a crimson ruby injected a vibrant pop of color into the open collarbone area.

Constructing the studio set was an ambitious project of Chinese-style photography. To evoke shimmering water waves, reflective sheeting was spread across the floor, layered with artificial lotus leaves, pink Lotus blossoms, and scholar rockery formations, backed by sweeping drapes of pale blue and blush pink chiffon. Because the reflective floor was slick, holding the stances required constant core engagement—especially when executing reclining or prone poses, where I had to mind the draping of fabric folds and skirt edges to avoid unflattering dead reflections. Lighting was kept predominantly soft, bringing out the luxurious textures of the textiles and skin translucency while minimizing harsh shadows.

The most rewarding aspect of this gallery is the kinetic tension of the posing—whether standing with outstretched billowing sleeves as in Photo 2, or kicking outward while sweeping the sleeves in Photo 4, each movement beautifully flattered the cut and layering of the garments. As the wide sleeves curved through the air alongside the shimmering accessories, immersion into character reached its peak. While repeatedly realigning the wig and jewels was physically demanding, seeing every single detail rendered to perfection in the final edits made every ounce of effort worthwhile.
