[Yu Linglong cosplay] NARAKA: BLADEPOINT Crimson Sun Tenko Moonlit Fox Shadow

Stepping into the studio in this Crimson Sun Tenko setup, my most immediate impression was how eye-catching the color combination was. As a featured skin for Yu Linglong in NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, the overall look fuses the agile charm of a fox with the cool, ethereal presence of a deity under the moon. Before starting the shoot, the photographer and I spent considerable time adjusting studio lighting to maximize that tantalizing, elusive atmosphere.

Let's talk about the hair and makeup design first. The orange-red long hair stood out strikingly against the dark-toned studio setting, while the soft yet structured animal ears on top framed my face in a nimble, clever way. The choker around my neck features a prominent peacock-blue gem—small details like these delivered rich texture in close-up shots. The inner lining and outer chiffon skirt used an off-white to light blue gradient, complemented by airy feather trims on the shoulders and arms that fluttered softly with every movement. Metallic accessories on the chest and waist inlaid with red and blue gems added an element of regal luxury to the soft color tones.

I particularly loved the leg details. Delicate metal bead chains wrapped from ankles up to my thighs, visually extending my leg lines. Because this design highlights legs prominently, our shooting focus centered on utilizing water reflections and height differences of the wooden platform to draw visual weight onto the leg chains and overall body posture.

In the first photo, I sat on the edge of the wooden platform with one leg relaxed down toward the water, toes gently skimming the surface. The underwater reflection and real scene formed a surreal blend of reality and illusion, giving the composition remarkable depth. Holding a delicate white sake cup while gazing softly into the distance, surrounded by scattered white blossoms and warm yellow lanterns, created a deeply peaceful emotional mood. This angle not only highlighted my body curves while seated, but also allowed light and shadow to transition gracefully across the chiffon dress and leg chains.

The second photo shifted into a more static seated pose. The centerpiece prop in the backdrop was a giant full moon suspended in midair; acting as a backlight, the bright lunar disc rimmed my figure in a gentle, cool white glow. Scattered black paper umbrellas and a wooden shoji screen background filled the frame with authentic Ancient style cosplay depth. Seated beside a low table with a sake jug and cup, looking up into the lens, created a delightfully languid wine-tasting ambiance. Controlling light ratio for this scene was tricky, but the photographer skillfully used diffuse bounce light to illuminate my face, ensuring highlights didn't blow out while preserving rich shadow detail.

This project was a wonderful endeavor for me, as capturing Yu Linglong's character requires meticulous attention to detail. Beyond broad color schemes and costume tailoring, interacting with handheld props and the surrounding environment was a central focus. Standing at the wooden edge looking down at the water, I could feel her innate aloof solitude; sitting under the bright moon revealed another serene layer of her mind. Throughout the shoot, I carefully adjusted sleeve feathers and leg chains to drop naturally, timing movements with my breathing to catch dynamic nuances. Though the process was demanding, finding the precise moment that aligned with the character's state brought a deeply satisfying accomplishment. Through these photos, I hope to convey Yu Linglong's unique charm under the Crimson Sun Tenko skin—a blend of breathtaking elegance and distant mystery.
