For this finished photoshoot, I chose Tsukatsuki Rio from Blue Archive. Preparations focused primarily on the wig styling and makeup. To capture the signature look of Long straight black hair, I styled the wig in advance, trimming the blunt bangs precisely above the eyebrows to refine the facial frame. Red eyes are the core feature of the character; after testing several pairs of colored contacts, I chose a pair with high color payoff yet soft outer rims.

The outfit boasts abundant details. The upper bodice of the asymmetrical black dress incorporates substantial metallic elements and golden cross insignia, while the large black bow at the bust heavily tested garment tailoring. To guarantee a snug fit throughout the shoot, I reinforced the back seams with safety pins. Leather gloves and over-the-knee Stockings were also crucial styling focal points. The texture of leather gloves against a pure white cyclorama requires special care regarding specular reflections, so I treated them lightly with matte powder beforehand. In fabric pairing, the black leather contrasted beautifully with lightweight textiles, while the lace trims of the Stockings gained extra dimensional depth under the lights.

For props, I prepared a red violin, a bow, and a wine glass. High-key lighting against a pure white background complemented the props wonderfully; the striking red-and-black contrast infused strong visual impact into the frame. Posing with the violin and perching on a chair holding the wine glass were the core highlights. When seated, keeping leg lines looking smooth and elongated meant engaging my core, shifting weight to the back of the hips, and crossing one leg naturally over the other. This posture showcased the slit dress and high Stockings flawlessly. Although cradling a wine glass looks effortless, maintaining precise wrist angles and taut necklines across extended takes left my neck rather sore afterward.

The halo prop above my head floated in mid-air, suspended and calibrated using fishing line from the studio ceiling. To keep the line invisible, the photographer finessed camera angles and aperture settings, seamlessly dissolving the wire into the overexposed white background. In terms of facial control, given Rio's aloof and detached demeanor, I kept my gaze pressed slightly downward and my lips neutral, avoiding overt smiles.

A pure white backdrop seems simple, but requires immense lighting control. To preserve fine textural details across the black attire, we avoided over-cranking the key light, instead relying on reflectors to brighten the face for a luminous, translucent skin finish. To accentuate leg length, we experimented with varied camera placements, ultimately finding that an eye-level angle tilted slightly downward yielded the best proportions. Softened light brought out smoother skin textures. While the red violin was a static prop, the grip had to mirror authentic playing posture to avoid looking awkward. The liquid inside the glass was actually grape juice; to avoid spilling on the gown, the fill level had to be re-adjusted with every pose change. After wrapping up, smoothing the skirt drape and hair strands took considerable time. Overall, the emotional tone of this set favored quiet composure and aloof elegance. Packing up the violin case, chair, and accessories made me realize how continuously every object in the composition had to be calibrated for visual equilibrium. I hope this set faithfully conveys the character's singular aura.
