I specifically chose a real-life Chinese courtyard with grey tiles and wooden windows for this vintage Qipao shoot of Hayase Yuuka. The black Qipao with blue trim is tailored to fit, paired with a loose white and blue coat, blending modern style with ancient charm. The deep blue twin-tail wig and iconic floating ring prop required careful balance adjustments to prevent shifting while walking. During the entire Outdoor shoot, I sat barefoot on a low stone wall to convey a sense of daily relaxation. The diffuse natural light in the courtyard was very soft, preserving the texture of the Qipao fabric and the delicacy of the skin. With the coat half-off my arms, the mandarin collar of the black Qipao and the yellow frog button details were revealed, creating a color contrast with the white ID badge. During the shoot, I tried poses such as brushing my hair with one hand and supporting the wall with both hands, using body language to avoid stiffness. Since it was an Outdoor shoot, wind occasionally blew my hair, which increased the difficulty but added a touch of liveliness to the photos. The photographer lowered the camera angle, using the eaves and wooden window lattice as a background to enhance the depth of the frame. The overall color tone remained cool to coordinate with the environment. Despite the Chinese-style vintage look, the cool and aloof temperament unique to Hayase Yuuka blended quite naturally into this scene. Through this Outdoor shoot, I gained more experience on how to keep props stable and clothing smooth in an outdoor environment, and the final photos are very clean.
