Armed with a Sony A7C2 and the 28-75mm F2.8 G2 lens, I wrapped up this set of Convention photos for Viper from Goddess of Victory: Nikke right on the show floor of Firefly ACG Expo. Although lighting conditions in the expo hall were complex, the rows of circular ceiling downlights formed a distinctive point-light background that, combined with the diffuse reflection from a white plush rug, gave the overall frame fantastic atmosphere.
The costume craftsmanship was quite exquisite. The upper body features a white-and-pink spliced cropped top equipped with front zippers and buckle hardware, connecting down to long white arm sleeves. The neck accessory is a black choker accented with a heart pendant and the number "12," harmonizing neatly with the character's signature color scheme. The biggest visual highlight was definitely the holographic silver pleated skirt; under overhead lighting, it refracted shifting prismatic sheens that, paired with white-edged Fishnet stockings, flawlessly balanced her combat persona with sharp visual allure. On the feet, black-and-white high-heeled ankle boots elongated the leg silhouette beautifully.
Considering makeup and prop synergy, I applied pink eyeshadow paired with matching red contacts, creating a look that felt playfully sweet yet edged with sharp intensity. The long blonde hair, topped with twin pink pointed horn clips, elevated character recognition in front of the camera. For props, I brought a large white sniper rifle custom-painted with pink accents and black detailing, which instantly amplified the character's commanding presence during posing.
We experimented with multiple angles and stances. The first eye-level kneeling shot, holding the skirt hem on both sides with both hands, fully showcased the reflective metallic texture and intricate Fishnet stockings patterns, while the red eye makeup popped with vivid energy straight-on. The second pose shifted to a single-knee combat stance with the body angled, bracing the prop rifle with both hands—a perspective that paired with the high-heeled boots and skirt to exude intense battle-readiness. For the third setup, the photographer shot from a high angle looking down, while I looked up with a playful wink and rested a finger against my chin, bringing out the cute, self-assured facet of her personality.
Using the Sony A7C2 paired with the 28-75mm G2 lens for these convention shoots made autofocusing and subject tracking swift and reliable, with the wide aperture creating creamy background blur to isolate me from the bustling convention floor. Despite the crowds requiring patience to find clear shooting windows, the camera's ergonomic handling and portability prevented fatigue during extended shooting. Overall, it was an immensely fulfilling expo experience—connecting with fellow fans while capturing several satisfying frames. Through diverse perspectives and camera language, this Viper cosplay Convention photos set achieved the exact visual texture and expressive presence I envisioned for Goddess of Victory: Nikke.
