[Sunna cosplay] The Delusion Angel of New Eridu: Restoration & detail breakdown

The Delusion Angel of New Eridu is finally here today with this complete gear set and a full album of Convention photos! Preparing this Sunna cosplay from Zenless Zone Zero all the way to final realization was a huge hassle, but the moment I saw the final photos, everything felt completely worth it.

Let me start with the wig and makeup that everyone cares about most. The light mint twin-tail wig this time is very special; we spent a long time fine-tuning the coloring to achieve a matte texture. The black geometric hair accents on the forehead are the finishing touch, fitting her techwear-inspired design perfectly. For eye makeup, I intentionally enhanced the contours and lashes; the blush and decorative small star decals beautifully capture her energetic yet spunky vibe as an Anime girl. The overall makeup color balance pairs wonderfully with the wig, yielding amazing results at the venue.

The costume details are executed exceptionally well. The top is a white puff-sleeve shirt with a red tie adorned with star patterns and cartoon figures at the collar. The black multi-layered ruffled puff miniskirt offers rich texture, which, paired with the waist bow and colorful trims, instantly maximizes youthfulness. The pink small backpack with side wings on the back beautifully balances upper body visuals. Both arms and legs feature pink-and-white striped slouch socks, paired with thigh harness straps and pink platform shoes—greatly elongating body proportions to make legs look slender and catching plenty of eyes while walking around.

Giant Cosplay props are definitely the main highlight of this lineup. One is a pink-and-white megaphone water gun adorned with cyan spike accents and transparent wings; holding it feels lightweight, making it perfect for dynamic, lively poses. The other is a massive hammer weapon—its volume is enormous, and from internal skeleton structure to external paint finish, I sanded and refined it repeatedly to ensure 3D depth and rich color saturation on camera, with a handle grip designed for one-handed lifting. Carrying these two giants around on convention day was certainly a physical challenge, but to faithfully recreate the character, this hard work was entirely worth it.

On the day of the shoot, convention lighting was very complex, but the experienced photographer skillfully used softboxes and professional lights at the venue to avoid overhead shadow issues. To deliver her lively, dynamic aura, we tried various poses on site—whether sitting on a high stool raising the gun or standing on one leg holding the hammer—striving to showcase her lighthearted, slightly mischievous combat vibe from the game. Especially compared to the side-by-side key illustration, I closely matched the dynamic pose, mirroring hand angles and facial expressions to achieve true likeness.

Although this outfit required immense time and effort from material selection and custom tailoring to finally putting it on—with heavy props and a high-maintenance wig—being able to share my hard work with fellow fans at anime conventions and showcase this character before the lens brings pure joy. I am extremely satisfied with these final shots, and I hope to present everyone with a vivid Delusion Angel Sunna.
