[Yoshizawa Kasumi cosplay] That flash of red in Persona 5, capturing the campus moment in reality

The Cosplay photoshoot for Yoshizawa Kasumi's everyday uniform styling from Persona 5 is now sorted out. A lot of thought went into ensuring the high fidelity of this costume.
The cut of the jacket fits the original character art as closely as possible; the gray-black fabric is crisp with restrained shoulder lines. The most satisfying parts are the custom red buttons on the cuffs and the shield-shaped badge on the left chest, where both the pattern on the badge and the edge stitching received meticulous treatment. The plaid pleated skirt at the hem is also custom-woven fabric, with the alternating red, black, and gray plaid arrangement completely following the official settings. The pleats are pressed sharply without any limp feeling, and paired with opaque black tights (part of the Black tights outfit), they neatly refine the leg proportions.
The choice of shoes also determines the overall completion. After a long search for alternatives to the round-toed red-and-black color-blocked leather shoes from the original setting, this pair with a slightly dark red reflective patent leather texture turned out fairly coordinated, lacking any cheap plastic feel. The wig is the highlight this time: vividly dyed and styled in dark crimson, the bangs are cut with a natural arc, and the red bow ribbon on top of the head along with the braided hair hanging by the ears are key points. While styling, I specially adjusted the tightness of the braids to make them look slightly fluffy rather than like two rigid ropes.
On the day of the shoot, we chose a spacious indoor space with transparent floor-to-ceiling glass windows in the background. Such cool-blue backlit environments are actually quite hard to control, but the atmospheric vibe turned out unexpectedly great. Because the background featured a large area of natural diffuse blue light, I slightly adjusted my hand-on-chin and knee-hugging poses, keeping my gaze relaxed to capture those moments of daydreaming, thinking, or waiting after school. A white plush blanket was spread underneath, which not only separated me from the cold floor but also provided a brightening contrast in the frame, preventing the dark uniform and black tights from blending into the dim ground.
In terms of props, apart from the dark notebook in my hand, the black backpack nearby is also a highly faithful item, where the silver zipper pulls and belt buckles look quite textured under the blue light. To be honest, shooting a character with such everyday yet designed charm tests expression handling even more than combat outfits or exaggerated special effect costumes. Since the clothing itself leans inward and understated, overly exaggerated movements would ruin the character's inherent serene temperament, making it look like just wearing a uniform for ordinary portraits.
During retouching this time, no excessive slimming or skin smoothing was applied, preserving the skin's natural texture and the undulations of light hitting the face, since the character is, after all, a lively high school student. The overall color tone was slightly tweaked toward a cooler direction to make the red hair stand out more in the frame, creating a visual center of red-and-blue contrast. I really love this quiet visual texture.
Although it's a set of Anime convention photos without elaborately built complex sets, utilizing perspective and light-and-shadow well successfully shaped the character's everyday vibe.
