Getting ready for the New Year Firefly Anime Convention Independent anime convention tour has meant working non-stop on fittings and fine-tuning details lately. This time, I prepared several vastly different looks all at once, spanning everything from glamorous allure to fresh and sweet aesthetics, hoping to bring convention-goers a diverse visual experience.

First, let's talk about the black-and-white bunny girl look. To accentuate bodily contours, I poured considerable effort into the garment tailoring—especially the cinched waist and neckline design. Paired with a white bunny-ear headband, a black bow tie, and the flattering touch of Black stockings, the overall visual impact is intensely captivating. Holding a strawberry in hand as an accent during photos adds a playful, flirtatious spark to the sensuality. I also carefully layered and trimmed the wig so the twin-tails look naturally light and fluffy.

Another look I'm exceptionally pleased with is an opulent ensemble weaving together red, white, and gold elements, featuring sheer tulle overlays and goldfish motifs. To give the outfit a crisp, three-dimensional structure, plenty of structural support was built into the inner lining; while wearing it is somewhat elaborate, seeing the final light-and-shadow dynamics made every bit of effort worthwhile. The wig for this look required careful curling, and styling it took quite a bit of time each session.

Beyond sensual styles, I also explored completely different vibes. For instance, the shoot in a traditional Japanese room featured a white camisole dress accented with black ribbon bows, cradling a grey lop-eared rabbit plushie. The natural light there was incredibly soft, and surrounded by wooden architecture and tatami mats, the resulting ambiance was wonderfully serene. Another look featured a white long-sleeved dress with twin-tails, sitting on a balcony floor where the dappled sunlight washing across the wooden planks created gorgeous shadows.

Vintage campus style is another aesthetic I adore. A deep blue pinafore dress paired with a white collared shirt, a red bow tie, a red backpack, white knee-high socks, and red leather shoes—overflowing with youthful energy. To align with the character, I adjusted my makeup to keep the finish especially clear and luminous.

Additionally, there are two quite unique looks: one featuring a reflective black military-style cape paired with an officer's cap and knee-high boots, accented with gold stars and metallic chains for a thoroughly dashing presence; the other is a pale blue beast-ear look in an outfit trimmed with abundant plush faux fur. Lying on the carpet during the shoot, the studio lights interacting with the furry texture yielded a dreamy anime aesthetic. There's also a set shot in a room draped with blue lace bed curtains, wearing a white dress with black ribbon bows under cool-toned illumination—truly tranquil and picturesque.

Preparing for an Independent anime convention tour is genuinely intricate. Beyond styling wigs and coordinating accessories for diverse looks, one must pack touch-up makeup kits and spare stockings as essential backups. Each fitting involved repeatedly refining details in front of the mirror, from fabric creases to the sweep of the wig, striving for perfection. Looking forward to meeting everyone in Guangzhou over New Year's, and hoping to capture even more satisfying convention photos!
