The cherry blossom season at Jinkui Park was honestly packed to bursting, but for the sake of this Lawson Phoebe location shoot, we still braved the crowds and arranged this session. The location selection this time mainly utilized the park's large lawns and grey stones. The diffuse reflection effect under natural light was amazing, making the wig's texture look especially transparent. Paired with a slightly higher angle for a high-angle shot, it beautifully showcases the layers of the skirt hem and the details of the sailor collar. The highlight of this costume lies in the hair accessories and that black star choker, using dark accessories to balance the lightness of the overall blue and white color scheme. The lantern design of the sleeves gives a natural drape when extending movements, and when making a heart shape with both hands, it happens to echo the curves of the cuffs and the skirt edge.

When preparing the pose reference, the photographer @Mubai and I communicated in advance about some clever little hand gestures, such as placing an index finger over the mouth, framing with the fingers, and making a heart shape with both hands, trying our best to ensure every frozen frame captured a different subtle emotion rather than a purely stiff pose. After all, doing cosplay is not just about recreating the visual look, but more about conveying the character's lively and energetic traits to the audience through body language. The lawn background at Jinkui Park was actually quite cluttered because there were so many tourists during the cherry blossom season, but the photographer was great at catching angles, using a large aperture to blur the crowd very softly, maintaining a crisp and clean look for the entire image.

In fact, this costume has an immense amount of detail; the dark blue lines on the neckline, the light blue large bow, and the layered skirt hem on the lower body can easily puff up into a shapeless mess if not carefully smoothed out, so I was constantly adjusting the flow of the skirt hem and bangs during shooting breaks. The black leather belt is crucial as a visual dividing line at the waist; otherwise, connecting light colors together would wash out the upper and lower body proportions. Sharing this set of Phoebe pose reference today, I hope to give some inspiration to fellow cosplayers who want to do this character or similar nautical-style outfits. For outdoor shoots, you can make more use of the angles of light and natural native elements like stones and lawns. Even if the background is crowded, as long as you focus the center of attention on showcasing the character's emotions and sense of interaction, the final results of this Anime-style photography session will turn out great.
