[The Shorekeeper cosplay] Stepping on Waves in Wuthering Waves: The Sea Breeze Gently Brushing a Blue Dreamscape

The moment I stood by the sea, the sea breeze was even stronger than imagined, which happened to become the best natural prop for creating a flowing effect. This outfit for The Shorekeeper cosplay is dominated by various shades of blue and white, paired with a lightweight tulle veil and exquisite butterfly armlets, presenting a highly translucent texture under natural light. To capture this ethereal feeling, I walked barefoot on the waves along the beach, feeling the texture of the sand flowing past the soles of my feet as the waves receded.

Although the layered flowing tulle of the clothes often tangled in the wind during the shoot, and the white bouquet prop had to be kept free of sand at all times, luckily my photography brother @📷Yunlong was extremely patient, capturing many moments by taking advantage of the wind and lighting shifts. For example, that half-body close-up shot was a candid capture right when the light was perfect, and the silhouette of the veil blown by the wind looked incredibly natural at that time. The entire shoot avoided intentional harsh lighting, instead utilizing the natural diffused light by the sea, which better restored the faint pearlescent shimmer on the clothes and the fabric's texture. For the makeup, a light blue eyeliner that echoed the hair color was emphasized on the eyes, making the overall visuals more harmonious and unified.

The real sound of waves and the salty sea breeze are sources of atmosphere that a studio shoot can never replace. Stepping barefoot on the wet sand gave this set of photos a less contrived feel and more of a natural breathing room. The blue-themed outfit looked exceptionally pure against this vast background, with the skirt hem blown by the wind toward the horizon; at that moment, it truly made me forget that I was just doing a shoot. While organizing this set of photos, I really loved the sense of layering between the wind-swayed tulle and the bouquet. As a recreation of the character's style, being able to leave such frames by this seashore counts as a highly meaningful attempt at Cosplay photography.
