[Nikki Cosplay] Strolling Through the Shining Nikki Miniature Fairy Tale Town - Image 1

The venue chosen for this shoot was a miniature landscape park brimming with a fairy-tale atmosphere. The scattered wooden cabins, tall windmills, ferris wheel, rolling lawns, and winding paths felt almost like a concrete realization of some corner in Miraland. Since the theme was \"Stylist,\" I specifically picked this pink-and-white retro dress, which carries a light, youthful charm. Paired with a clear umbrella, it served as both a sunshade and a photo prop. The wig was a custom long pink wig with lightly curled ends styled into pigtails; just managing the hair strands to recreate Nikki's signature hairstyle took nearly an hour.

It was actually quite windy on the day of the shoot, and the clear umbrella kept getting flipped inside out. We had to retake many shots just to keep the umbrella handle and skirt hem steady. However, the photographer was incredibly patient, squatting on the grass the entire time to find macro perspectives, as only a low angle could convey the grandeur of those tiny houses, making the scene look as if I were standing inside a mini kingdom. The costume has many details—such as the lace trim on the hem, the bow on the chest, and the ruffles on the cuffs—which showed up with clear texture in the sunlight. My favorite shot is the moment the skirt was gently lifted by the wind, perfectly echoing the green grass in the background for a fresh and lively look.

As for makeup, I avoided heavy contouring and focused instead on bright eye makeup and soft pink blush. Combined with natural sunlight, this aimed to capture Nikki's energetic yet tender character. The prop umbrella was actually a translucent white long-handled umbrella with slender metal ribs. By the time we finished shooting, the canopy was baked warm by the sun, but for the final visual results, it was entirely worth it.

This outdoor shoot made me realize more deeply that great cosplay is not just about recreating costumes and hairstyles, but also about integrating with the environment. Standing on those undulating grassy slopes with colorful roofs behind me, I felt as if I could genuinely hear lighthearted music drifting from afar. I've always felt that the essence of a Stylist lies in mastering colors and silhouettes. So before every shoot, I repeatedly try on different accessories; ultimately, I selected these white short socks and shallow pumps, which elongates the leg lines without being overly distracting, maintaining a cohesive sweetness with the pink dress.

During photo editing, I preserved the natural green of the grass and the deep blue of the sky without heavy color grading, only making slight adjustments to light-and-dark contrast to give the architectural outlines more dimension. Though the mini wooden cabins were made of basic boards and sheet metal, in front of the lens they projected the warm tactile feel of handcrafted models—exactly the \"fairy tale world\" effect I aimed for. As a cosplayer passionate about styling, having the opportunity to portray a beloved character in such a dreamy location was truly a treat. The entire process—from waking up early for makeup, commuting, location scouting, to repeated test shots—was exhausting, but seeing the final photos made every effort turn into pure joy. I hope this share lets everyone feel the magical journey of a Stylist, and I look forward to unlocking more interesting scenes and looks in the future.
