I finally got to shoot this Phoebe look at this Firefly ACG Expo. From the initial makeup test to the actual live shoot, a lot of thought went into recreating this character's aura. Phoebe feels like an anime girl who is slightly dreamy yet very agile. Therefore, the color palette for the wig and eye makeup was kept quite soft. The long blonde curly hair paired with the light blue knit sweater preserves the character's iconic elements while being perfect for the natural light at the convention.

For the shooting location, I chose this outdoor slate walkway mainly because the surrounding green trees and lawn create a blurred background bokeh that highlights the subject in a clean yet non-monotonous way. The first standing pose is actually my personal favorite, as I feel the expression and posture hit exactly that serene yet slightly playful state of the character. The subsequent shots try out different actions. For instance, the one with one leg lifted is meant to show Phoebe's lighthearted, lively, and dynamic feel from the game; the one sitting on the ground resting my chin in both hands is to display a more casual, everyday side. However, I should mention that keeping one's balance on a slate path in these black Mary Jane shoes really tests your foot strength, though luckily the skirt length was just right so it wasn't too unwieldy to move around.

Since it was shot during the convention, the lighting that day actually changed very quickly. The photographer was highly professional and captured that soft diffuse light during dusk, making the blue sweater and white skirt reveal a very comfortable texture. The white stockings and black shoes provide a visual sense of extension, and combined with the fluffy hair accessories and bows, the details of the overall outfit were well-executed. I've always believed that cosplay is not just about putting on clothes, but conveying the character's inner self through demeanor and body language. Thus, I kept adjusting my gaze and hand gestures during the shoot, hoping anyone looking at the photos can feel Phoebe's gentle yet independent temperament.

I'm quite satisfied with the final photos sorted out this time. After all, every single cosplay project condenses the hard work of early preparation and live-action adjustments. The matching light gray small bag serves as a perfect accent for the styling, keeping the overall color palette from being too distracting. Although the convention was packed with people, we managed to maintain a sense of purity in the frame when finding spots and posing. I hope this dedication can convey my love for this character and bring a bit of visual resonance to friends who like Wuthering Waves and Phoebe through this cosplay photography work.
